3. Keyboard Increments in preferences doesn't work.

   I set my Keyboard Increment to .0139 and anchor points move correctly. Then I change it to .00139, which has alway worked in the past, it now jumps about 10X the correct distance. I restarted. No change. I uninstalled, then reinstalled. No change. I restarted my computer. No change. I can't work with it like this. How do I get this fixed?

5. Place Jumbling Points on Artwork

   MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6 Illustrator 22.1

   I was working on an ad and placed the logo of the company and part of the logo looked strange. Turns out it is jumbling random points on random outlines of the logo.

6. Illustrator graphics from the Library are distorting when I "Option Click and Drag"

   First off this is only happening to me in Illustrator 2018. I just did an update over the weekend, and have been facing a number of bugs ever since. But the one I still havent figured out is this one. In my CC libraries, my team and I utilize it for vector icons. When I drag an icon into my file, it looks correct, but I cannot edit the colors. So when I "Option click and drag", it gives me the option to edit the icon, but it is distorting it by squishing it vertically. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

   This is very frustrating. Really hoping this gets resolved, otherwise my team and I won't be able to utilize the CC libraries and will have to find another solution.

7. Windows 10: Libraries panel - item naming bug

   On Windows, Ctrl + Left/Right Arrow allows you to navigate text by jumping between words. If you use Ctrl + Shift + Left/Right Arrow, it will also select as you jump between words.

   The bug: In Illustrator, when typing a name for an item in the Libraries panel, if you try to use either of these shortcuts, it will also move the selected graphic on the artboard.

   Solution: stop sending any keyboard input to the main Illustrator window when typing a name in the Libraries panel.

   Sorry we could not understand the issue. We do not support shifting between words using shortcuts but it should not be placing art on your file if you are in rename mode on the library panel

8. Legacy "save as" from CC2018 does not work

   "Save as" to legacy CS6 , CS5, etc. from CC2018 does not work - although it looks like it does. Trying to open the file in CS6 will get an error that the file was created in a newer version. To confirm the file has not been converted to CS6 (or other legacy version), check the file window. It will display no version number and right-clicking on the file and choosing "get info" will also show no version number.

   To work around the bug, launch CS2017 and "save as" to the desired legacy version. You will now see a version listed in the version column of your file window (16 for CS6, 15 for CS5) and choosing "get info" by right-clicking on the file will now show v.16 or v.15.

   "Save as" to legacy CS6 , CS5, etc. from CC2018 does not work - although it looks like it does. Trying to open the file in CS6 will get an error that the file was created in a newer version. 9. Illustrator groups unintended objects, you can't ungroup unless you click on a certain object.

   I've had this issue for years with various versions of Illustrator. Occasionally when grouping and ungrouping objects Illustrator will get stuck on a grouped object and then subsequently clicked objects with that object.

   It's annoying because it creates unwanted group handles for the subsequent object you want to click or transform.

   Over the years I've found that the only way to "ungroup" the unwanted group is trying to find and select one of the objects that is "causing" the unwanted grouping for lack of a better explanation.

   Again, this is not a new bug. It's something that I've been dealing with in Illustrator for multiple versions.

11. Character Styles and Color Picker

    Assigned a color value of #c0c0c0 to a Character Style. Selecting the same text and then checking the color in the Color Picker returns a hex value of #bfbebe. Ideas?

12. Pixels out of alignment when copied from library

    I'm currently rebuilding over 1,500 icons which need to be pixel-perfect and have certain badges that we're using a library for.

    The icons are being made as symbols so we can edit the symbol and then on artboards, it's resized to the required icons we need.

    Illustrator won't allow a linked graphic from the library, so I have to place a copy. As per image, when placing a link, the pixels line up as per design. When placing a copy, it moves the design around and ***** things up, making it not perfect. When I either place a copy or place a link, it loads the cursor and relies on where I click, to be 0,0 else it'll be incorrect.

    To add a little more confusion, a colleagues' version of the same build of AI is just dropping the icon in the middle of the view/board, not loading his cursor, not being in the middle of pixels and not moving the icon around within the circle.

    Is there a pref for this, or is this a bug/'feature'?

13. Artistic effects converting artwork to black

    Attempting to apply any Effects>Effect Gallery will render the vector artwork into black and white. Thinking it was a Pantone conflict, I've tried conversion to CMYK with same results.

14. Illustrator Crashes when Opening File on Second Monitor

    Illustrator is crashing when I open up the application on my second Monitor. But when I open it on my laptop it works. It will only work on my second monitor if I open it up on my laptop then drag to the second monitor. But if I want to open up another illustrator file it will crash again if I'm using the second monitor.

15. Illustrator CC 2018 (Mac)

    I am using Illustrator CC 2018 (Mac). For some reason, the program crashes frequently when I am opening .AI document.

16. Illustrator CC is in Overprint mode super slow

    While working in overprint view , Illustrator slows down and starts freezing

    Im working on:
    HP Z440
    Intel Xeon E5 1620 v4 @ 3.50 GHz
    64 GB DDR4
    NVIDIA Quadro P4000 - 8192 MB
    Windows 10 Pro - 64 bit

    We have 2 other computers with specifications below, which work perfectly fine :

    1) Asus ROG G75 VW
    Windows 10 Pro - 64 bit
    Intel® Core™ i7 3610QM
    16 GB - DDR3 1600 MHz SDRAM
    NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 670M with 3GB GDDR5
    Illustrator CC 2018

    2) iMac (27-inch, late 2013)
    macOS High Sierra - Version 10.13.6
    3.5 GHz Intel Core i7
    32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

17. Exporting to JPEG(Optimized) results Progressive JPEG

    I exported my design as JPEG "Baseline Optiomized" on Illustrator CC 22.1. However it results a progressive JPEG file that contains a SOF2 "FF C2" .
    Please check it.

20. Viewing files when placing an image

    For a short time recently when I choose File>place and navigate to my stock image folder, the most recently downloaded file appeared first. SUPER TIME SAVER (Using Windows 10). Now it seems this feature is gone and I have to sift through hundreds of files once again. I can set file explorer to sort by "date created" ie. date created ON MY COMPUTER, but I can't replicate this viewing option any more through Illustrator's place option. Any ideas?

    unfortunately the feature that you are referencing is provided by Windows operating system. We use the Windows system fie open dialog to enable file place on your artboard.
    Please click on sort by date created this should resolve your problem.
