1. Window auto scrolling

   When opening Illustrator the file auto moves to the right at a slow pace. When hitting Shift it jumps - it only stay still if the mouse is off the application. The art won't stay steady on screen.

3. save for web (legacy) ui zoomed in

   Windows 10
   Illustrator CC 26.3.1 (but has been happening for the last couple of updates)

   Under Export> Save for web(legacy) the UI that I see is very zoomed in with no scroll bars to move around the window. I'm unable to get to anything past the line in the screenshot. I can hit Enter to save it and can hit Esc to cancel, but can't really do anything else with it.

   I have completely reset the preferences and tried checking UI scaling, neither helped.

   The first 2 screenshots are from illustrator, the first one is what the UI looks like upon launch, the second one is if I shrink the window itself, I can see a little more information.

   The 3rd screenshot is Photoshop running on the same PC able to get to the correct menu.

4. Problems with text, bounding box, selections, scaling and more

   Hello, I’ve been having a problem with Illustrator for now a week. The version I am working with is 22.1 and I am working on a MacBook Pro 15in 2017 with Sierra 10.13.5, Processor: 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7, Memory: 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3, Graphics: Radeon Pro 560 4096 MB and Intel HD Graphics 630 1536 MB,

   I noticed that the problem always starts showing up when I am working with text, especially when changing the tracking of the text. The problem shows up after usually a couple hours of work and it “resets” when restarting the application or the machine. It doesn’t happen with mathematical precision, sometimes it takes 5 minutes to show up, other times it takes a few hours, but since last week every time I worked on Illustrator this problem showed up sooner or later. It also seems to get worse and worse with time. At the beginning it was a subtle glitch of the text that I could resolve with restarting the machine or the application, but now it happens more and more frequently and restarting is not helpful anymore. This problem appears with ALL my files and also when creating a new file.

   What happens:
   Let's say I have some text that is 72pt and with tracking 0 in red and other shapes and text boxes around it in the artboard.
   1- I select the text box mentioned before
   2 - I make the tracking 200 in the character panel
   3 - At this point the text gets back to the previous size and colors, so for example the initial size 12pt and black. Instead of being 72pt with tracking 200 in red.
   4- Then from there the problem degenerates and develops in problems with bounding box, selections and it becomes impossible to work. Following I list all kind of problems I encounter after the problem shows up:
   - The text becomes impossible to control because every time I would make a change it would change back to a previous style
   - The bounding box disappears, or behaves weirdly for example not following the object or text if I move it
   - Selections happen randomly, so for example I select an object and some text gets selected too
   - Objects randomly move and repeat movements and changes in a way that seems to mimic the CMD+Z
   - Guidelines (the pink snapping ones) are completely random and stays active even when deselecting an object

   I am uploading a video where you can see me trying to move the blue line on the right. You can definitely see that the bounding box and selections behave crazy. The text gets also selected and when trying to move the line the text goes back of a step (so changes position or rotation to the previous one). The line keeps moving back.
   I also showed the document on CMD+Y mode and you can see the bounding boxes are not showing.

   Also I noticed in the past days when working on my coworker computer (a desktop Mac with a different creative cloud installed - different account) that there are little glitches of the same problem starting there as well, so for example the text is doing the same thing when I change the tracking : the text changes size and gets to the previous step of work when trying to change tracking. It’s not even close to where my issue is at but I know it is starting to behave weird. I also read some other posts on this board with similar problems.

   I’ve been in contact with the Adobe Support for a week now and it doesn’t seem anything is wrong with my computer. I also reset completely my computer a couple days ago, deleting all memory and applications, but that didn’t help, the problem showed up after a few hours of work.

   If you can’t reproduce the problem I can gladly share with you my screen and show you. Also this is the list of things that the Support has tried to fix the problem:
   - Reset the preferences
   - Deleting all my Wacom drivers
   - Deactivating my Intel graphic card (I am still confused about this one - does it mean now I am not using my computer at its maximum power? Can I activate it again?)
   - More changes to app folders and similar…

   Please can you help me solving this issue? It is not only annoying and frustrating, but it makes it impossible to work and it is damaging my ability to be professional.

5. GPU continues to randomly turn only white to black (not inverting!)

   an ongoing issue with CC is the random and unprovoked flipping of Black to white on screen. Only the color white does this. This is not a case of color being inverted. It is only white in a file that suddenly turns black and then needs to be closed and reopened to fix.

6. Annoying opening screen

   I reinstalled the system. I removed and reinstalled Adobe Illustrator. No solution. I don't understand why the problem is caused.

7. One column toolbar is not remembered and becomes two columns each launch

   Toolbar does not remember the one column setting if "Show the home screen when no documents are open" is uncheck.

   Step to reproduce:

   1. Reset all settings
   2. Run Illustrator
   3. For example set "Essentials" workspace (now you have one column toolbar)
   4. Open preferences
   5. Uncheck "Show the home screen when no documents are open"
   6. Check "Use Legacy File New Interface"
   7. Restart Illustrator
   8. Now toolbar have two columns (and thats the problem)

   You must reset the workspace every time you open Illustrator to keep one column toolbar

8. Change to dimension in properties panel applies to wrong object in certain situation...

   Minor bug. To reproduce:

   Have at least two objects on screen.
   Select one.
   In the properties panel, change the width or height but do not press enter or tab.
   Select the other object.

   Result: The change in dimension is applied to the second object, not the first.

9. Text Boxes & resizing objects in Illustrator Behaving Strangely

   This might be difficult to explain, but at the moment, when pasting text within Illustrator (it can be from a different artboard within the doc, or from a different Illustrator doc, or Word, basically it doesn't seem to matter where the text comes from) or if just create a new text box and type within it, and try to resize the box, it seems to create more text boxes within the main box, and the text would 'snap' into the smaller box. If I stretch the box wider, the text will 'snap' back into the bigger box again, and I can then delete the randomly created text box as it is empty and not affected anymore. If I keep moving the edges of the text box around, every time the text within it is affected by moving or not having enough space it will just pop a new box. It will carry on indefinitely as long as I'm shifting the size around.

   This only happens when creating text boxes that you can resize without affecting the size of the text inside it. Typing without a text box seems to be fine. It has also started doing it with any objects within Illustrator. For example, I create a basic rectangle shape. Then, using the bounding box, I drag a corner to resize it, and as I do that, it is generating more rectangles as I go. In the layers panel, they are listed as normal, as if I duplicated the shapes or text boxes.

10. Disappearing artboards in Illustrator 24.0.3

    I created a bunch of artboards and put logotypes (word logos) in them, exported each artboard as separate SVGs, closed the file. When I opened the file the next time, only my first artboard still remained but all my artboards I created after that were gone. This is disruptive because I need to keep the placement of all of the graphics in those artboards consistent as they are going to appear on the same baseline in our product. This is not the first time this has happened to me! I can't attach an image as the content cannot be public yet.

11. Shear dialog forgets the value

    While rotating objects keeps the value of the angle in the dialogue box, bending (shearing) immediately forgets the value. A bug?

12. Can't see anything on screen except a lot of white and black horizontal lines.

    I have no clue why but if I open or create a new project, the screen goes full screen and a lot of white and black lines that are horizontal appear and i can not see any tools, buttons, anything. The links and buttons are still there but I cant see them.

14. Illustrator not effectively handling Windows Desktop Magnification

    I have been having so many problems with Illustrator lately and just now realized that it is because of my UltraWide monitor and the fact that I have Windows Magnification set to 200%.

    This is not being handled well in Illustrator. It's making the active area around a selected item way too big. I can be 100px off of the selected item and it still wants to rotate. I try to select a point and it's nearly impossible. If you look at all of the "tolerance" bug reports, I would be willing to bet they all deal with magnification levels above 100% that Illustrator isn't compensating for.

    To test it, I changed my magnification level to 100% and suddenly, the rotate tool disappears when I am just a little bit off of the selected shape like it's supposed to. Somehow, the tolerance distance for things like rotate or transform or selecting handles is way off when Windows desktop magnification is greater than 100%.

    FIx this problem and you can literally close a dozen or more trouble tickets.

15. New document screen doesn't close upon creating new document, locking me out of program

    The following issue has popped up a couple times now: I'll be working in Illustrator (Windows 10) and want to create another new document. I'll navigate to File>New and be faced with the New Document popup. I'll select my desired parameters and hit "create," and the document will be created behind the popup -- but the popup won't close, and I can no longer click the main Illustrator window to work behind it. I've had to use Ctrl-Alt-Del every time this happens; there's no opportunity to save work. (This has only ever happened when I've had Illustrator already open, never upon starting the program.)

    The following issue has popped up a couple times now: I'll be working in Illustrator (Windows 10) and want to create another new document. 16. Select strokes by clicking anywhere on their stroke, no just the 'path' central part.

    It gets tedious really quick having to always be accurate and select the invisible central 'path' of a stroke - why not allow us to select a stoke by clicking on any part of it, of it's pixels rendered on the screen. Like Freehand by macromedia used to allow. Just add it as an option in preferences.

    So if you have a Red 20px thick stroke, you can select it by clicking on any of the red stroke as rendered on screen, rather than having to slow down time and space to be super accurate and guess where that central path is.

    It would literally save years of my life. It's why I still to this day say that I hate Illustrator and dearly miss Freehand.

17. Screen flashing while tool tips is on and hoovering over docked toolbar

    While using the advanced toolbar and the 'show tool tips' feature, the screen flashes/glitches very fast and violently. I turned off the tool tips and the glitch stops. The tool tips feature is helpful but this glitch makes it useless/painful.

18. Black screen and duplicating forms randomly while working

    1. While I'm working with Ai for some time, the screen suddenly turns black and it leaves black even if I'm moving the artboards or window (like in a photo). And only turning off the Ai helps until the next "black" time.

    I've got an update of Ai this morning (2021-10-28) and before this problem never happened.

    1. It sometimes starts to randomly duplicate objects and all the forms, while I'm copying, moving, or transforming them. I don't have a photo right now to show it and I don't know from what this problem depends.

    Using: Adobe Illustrator 2022 v 26.0

    Since MacOs Sequoia upgrade, Illustrator randomly recording / monitoring screen despite disabled in Privacy settings. Sequoia bug, AI bug, or Sequoia revealing this was happening all along. Could just be the color picker, could not. Doesnt happen reliably with color picker use. Only happens in Illustrator and only since the Sequoia upgrade. Something isnt working right between the OS and app.
    If screen monitoring is turned off, Illustrator should not be able to monitor.

    Illustrator uses Apple screenshot API to pick colors outside the Illustrator window with Eyedropper tool. Apple has enhanced security in the recent OS updates to let user know which applications are recording the screen, whether you pick a color value of single pixel or recording the entire screen.

    Illustrator is not recording users's screen, it is required for Eyedropper tool to pick color from single pixel.
