Object size change?
Now, the transformation panel reflects the size of a shape plus the thickness of the outline if there is one.
For example, a rectangle of 100x100 with an outline (in the middle) of 1 displays a size of 101x101, 102x102 if the outline is external and 100x100 if the outline is internal.
It's a very confusing change! The previous behavior was much more talkative.
I understand that this reflects the actual size, including the outline thickness, but this should be an option. I did not see myself 3 decimal digits when I want a rectangle of 100x100! :)6 votesIf this happens for you, please check the 'Use Preview Bounds' in Preferences > General. When it’s enabled, Ai will treat strokes and effects as a part of the object’s bounds.

Properties Panel and Transform Panel measurements should be exactly the same not rounded in the Properties Panel.
Properties Panel rounds measurements to .000 decimal places but the transform panel allows .0000 four decimal places. This is inconsistent and is confusing to my team trying to double check our files for accuracy.

Workspace Bug
Have a strange bug. Have Dual Cinema displays with all of my palettes on one monitor. Saved workspace for this configuration. If I click to toggle between fill/stroke it resets my workspace and moves all of my palettes over to my first monitor but only in the bottom right 1/4 of the screen. If i hit "x' to toggle between fill/stroke this doesn't happen.

Thin strokes look jagged / uneven
Newest version of Illustrator has now changed my .001 cut size of a stroke in some places from a clean thin line to a jagged mess. Some of the former .001 lines are still unchanged? These are shared with clients and look horrible!

Can't resize text, objects, or images anymore using the selection tool
When I click on any object, text, or image and try to resize it just by clicking and dragging the anchor points, it doesn't resize anymore like it used to. It just moves the object. This is on a Mac in Illustrator CC 2019 23.0.1

Illustrator won't open more than one file
With version 23.0.1, Illustrator will permit to open only one single file.
The first file can be opened by any method, any subsequent file can only be opened using "File/Open" command. Using Windows Explorer or Drag&Drop does not work! and will freeze Illustrator; ending the application is only possible using the Windows Task Manager.
I'm running Illustrator CC (23.0.1 64-bit) on Windows 10 Enterprise (10.0.16299).THX for fixing this!

Freeform Gradient line mode misbehaviour
The new Freeform gradient tool seems to be full of bugs :(
One such example is when you are working with a line type gradient that has 3 or more points, selecting a certain point, double clicking to change the colour and then selecting the eyedropper will change the point selection to the most recently created point.

Editing Library-Item Name prompts "Move Object" pop up.
After the most recent update to Adobe Illustrator (v. 23.0) on Windows 64-bit system. Every time I name/rename an object added to my Library panel, on hitting 'Enter/Return' to save the change and leave the edit state, the 'Move Object' pop-up appears (and I have to close it to return to what I was doing.
As I've been adding a series of icons to my Adobe CC Library, this is a very tedious process to close this pop-up every. single. time.
Please fix. Thank you :)

Surface pro (2017) pen pressure problem
Hello everyone!
I don't Know if this is a bug, a missing driver or miscalibration, but I have a problem with the surface pro (2017) and the Adobe Illustrator paintbrush tool not working well together. I have the newest model of the surface pen, but the lines I draw with the paintbrush tool are not able to taper to a sharp edge even if I start with really low pressure and lift the pen carefully at the end. It always leaves this rounded edge.

I have also attached two screenshots: first being a screenshot of the lines i drew on my surface pro (2017) and the pen; and the second being a screenshot of the lines I did on my desktop computer using a Wacom Intuos pro. these were drawn with the same exact brush and using the same hand movement, however you can clearly see that the Surface Pro is not able to produce as thin lines.
I have tried to change the pen pressure curves to combat this but it doesn't help. What it feels like is that when you press very lightly with the pen, the line jumps straight to this medium thickness instead of being really thin at first. Also the line keeps the same thickness until I exceed a certain pressure threshold. The line starts drawing pretty much when I feel like it should, it just jumps straight to thicker line and stays that way for a bit even if i change the pressure slightly. This can be most clearly seen in the middle lines of the screenshots I attached: the first one (Surface Pro) has no variation in the line weights of the lines it produced from my very light, barely-touching-the-tablet type of line, but the second (Intuos Pro) was able to pick up on the line weight variation on those lines.

I should also mention that with Photoshop I am able to produce very thin lines, so the pressure sensitivity works well in there.
I would be really grateful if a solution could be found to this problem! Inking with vector lines was something I was looking forward to when buying this device, but now I feel like I am handicapped when using Illustrator on my Surface Pro.

Custom paper size in print dialog box is grayed out
I am using Windows 10 with Adobe Illustrator CC 22.1 64 bit. I need to print on 11.5 x 11 paper. I can't choose Custom or enter in paper dimensions. Those options are grayed out.

Takes about 15 minutes to open/unfreeze
Since the last update 22.1 it takes about 15 minutes to open...
I get a white frozen screen for an average of 15 minutes with just the contour of the app...and than it open nomally.My system:
Windows 10 Pro

Clipping masks get released when document is reopened
When I reopen a document with clipping masks the masks are released. It is very frustrating remaking all photos each time I open to make edits.

Illustrator Crashes when Opening File on Second Monitor
Illustrator is crashing when I open up the application on my second Monitor. But when I open it on my laptop it works. It will only work on my second monitor if I open it up on my laptop then drag to the second monitor. But if I want to open up another illustrator file it will crash again if I'm using the second monitor.

Tools not working.
Some tools not working. When I click on the text tool I get something that looks like a pencil with a circle with a slash through it underneath the pencil-brush-pen-line tools. I deleted preferences and nothing helps. This is very aggravating.

Selection Tolerance for text or drawing is off and very annoying
Using Mac OS X High Sierra 10.13.4 with Retina 5k display
Illustrator CC 2018 version 22.1Please reference the attached image.
Selecting a line. The curser is clearly on the line but the dot is highlighted instead.
Selecting text with the text tool: the curser is clearly over the text, but the it is highlighting the circle around the text instead.
Selecting dimension text: the curser is clearly over the text, but the tool shows text on a path.This is even more annoying when selecting a point. Click 20 times then give up and zoom in.
And it is even way way way more annoying when selecting text because the text curser adds a new text box over the text which you were trying to select. Extremely annoying when all you want to do is small quick edit and it becomes a game of trial and error to even select the text.
If this happened once in while (a far part while) then it would be ok and tolerable, but it happens very frequently. I have to zoom in quite a bit (usually from 100% to at least 300%) to get the correct object.
Zooming in and out frequently to select something correctly is very annoying, specially when you can see that the curser is clearly on the object you want to select .. you click on it and something else next to it is selected instead.
I tried various setting in the tolerance preference to no avail.
This did not happen in Illustrator CC 2017.

Selection tool Lagging and moving objects on click- High Sierra (macOS 10.13)
I have been an illustrator user since 2000.
After this most recent update I noticed that when I use the Selection Tool (V) . The item, image, line, vector group, no matter what I click, begins to lag and then automatically jumps to the location of my mouse, Thought I simply clicked the item to select it and then moved my mouse, not clicked and dragged. The object reacts as though I clicked and dragged, so I am forced to select an object, let the bug run it's course, and then hit cmd +Z to undo the unintentional move.
I know 2 other people having the same issue since the most recent illustrator update. What can I do to fix this?
I am using a mac, magic mouse, and OS 10.13.

Installing new fonts don't automatically list in Illustrator unless I restart the App.
When I activate a new font in my font management app (in this case FontExplorer), the font doesn't show up in Illustrator. I have to quit Illustrator and reopen it in order to see the new font. In the past I didn't have this issue only in recent updates to Illustrator. Is there a way to fix this?

Bounding Box Issues - Incorrectly including shadow on some objects
There are several selection bugs related to the behavior of bounding boxes (as shown in the attached jpeg). If a shadow is applied to an object such as a rectangle shape, then the bounding box correctly stays around that rectangle. But edit a point on the rectangle and suddenly the bounding box also includes the shadow. This is not desirable as then rotating the object changes its center point depending on the location of the shadow. Same thing with a line shape vs. a line created with the pen tool (the pen tool line's bounding box contains the shadow). I'm also including reference from a previous bug I reported that is still unresolved relating to the bounding box not rotating with certain objects as it had in previous versions of illustrator (as shown in the bottom of attached jpeg)
