Constant Random Crashing
Adobe Illustrator CC 2020; A coworker and I are coming across the same issue where our Illustrator is consistently crashing almost every hour or so throughout the day, seemingly at random. It will happen when trying to select/move an object, when trying to save, when clicking on another window, when clicking on a dropdown, and even when the machine is just sitting here doing nothing on my lunch breaks, it's not a question of if it will crash, it's when.

Print size and arrows on lines
When changing the direction of the arrow on a line, Print preview will switch to A4 even if the parameter has previously been set as A3.

Replacing file doesn’t work
When I edit the file, then choose to replace the original one, the previous one hasn't been successfully replaced. When I open it, it still the last version.

24.0.3 pencil tool is laggy and glitchy
I updated to 24.0.3 a few days ago and my pencil tool has been really fiddly ever since, with a lot of skipping of the first fraction of a second of a new stroke, and a certain amount of picking up my motions after I lift the stylus up, as well. If I undo and draw the same shape again at about half the speed, I get the shape I expect, but this really isn't sustainable in the long run for a workflow based around lots of fast Pencil tool shapes!

Text in opened SVG is wrong size and outside artboard in v23.1 and v24.0.2
In newer versions of Illustrator (23.1 and 24.0.2, for example) the text in our SVG files may appear at the wrong size and outside the artboard. This incorrect text commonly appears at the top-left.
The ZIP file contains a problem SVG, a preview JPG of how it should appear, and any customer-provided files used in the design.
Also attached are copies of each version's System Info readouts and a screenshot of a problem design open in AI 24.0.2.

Shortcut Window doesn't auto close
When opening Illustrator you are welcomed by the shortcut window showing previous files and most used file creation options etc.
On Illustrator 24.0.3 and previous iterations when using the shortcut window the file opens as it should but you are left with a blank shortcut window open, which then needs to be closed. I have attached a screenshot.
I am using an iMac with High Sierra

Free Transform tool and bounding box don't work with guides
Sometimes you want to scale a guide by dragging.
But bounding box doesn't show up when guide is selected and Free Transform tool stays in forever 'turn' mode.Don't you say me it is as intended. Just don't.

Bug Report: Saving Design Files as PDFs from Illustrator
When I try to save an Illustrator file as a PDF that I've saved before, Illustrator asks me if I'd like to replace my old file with the new one I'm saving (which is normal). I click okay, and everything looks normal about the save, but Illustrator doesn't actually save over the old file with my new changes, unless I change the name of the file. This seems like a bug. If I ask it to replace my old file upon saving, I really would like it if it did.

Character Information in Properties Panel not appearing
When I click on any text the Character information in the properties panel immediately disappears. The character information is only visible before I click with the Text tool. This is making it REALLY difficult to work with text.

Adding Points and deleting point on path does not work after Command Z
When I make a mistake adding a point or deleting point to a path I usually use COMMAND Z to undo. After the Undo I am not able to add a new point to the path. I get an Alert and it blocks me from adding a new point.

illustrator version 24 vector file is too large
Windows 7 Pro - Adobe Illustrator 24.0.2 (2019)
Opening a 2.7 MB Adobe Illustrator 23 (2018) all vector file and saving it.
Expect file size to remain similar or the same
File size of the new version 24.0.2 results in 260 MB
The file is using Gaussian blur. I suspect it is this. The file attached is the 2.7 MB version 23 file.
2 votesThis happens most probably because of the enabled PDF-compatibility option on save, which makes Ai write a PDF copy into the file along with the native Ai format. It helps to other apps to place and use the artwork inside, but it also makes the live raster effects to get rasterized, and it leads to size bloating.
Untick the 'Create PDF Compatible File' option and the file size will stay at 1-3 MB.

Measurements given as points
I have been working with Units set to General: Centimeters, Stroke: Centimeters, Type: Points and Grid: every 1 cm, 5 subdivisions. Suddenly this morning all measurements are in Points. I cannot work with this. The ruler is in points: useless. I have reset preferences and restarted several times.

Black versions of color fonts are no longer accessible
EmojiOne font B&W fallback version is no longer accessible in current versions of Illustrator. This is a crying shame! I am forced to stay with AI CC2015 because I need access to the black and white version of this font. Why would Adobe take away a perfectly useful variation of a font because it is a "color" font????

Saving to iCloud Drive creates multiple versions of the same file.
Saved a file to a folder on iCloud Drive (on the Desktop with iCloud Drive Desktop & Document Sync enabled). The file is still open in Illustrator, yet there are 3 versions of the file in the folder.
What I am assuming is happening is that the file is being taken off of the desktop and saved to the cloud, but then Illustrator is rewriting the file because it can't see the original file. This hasn't happened before with Illustrator until the 2020 updates and I've saved all my files to iCloud Drive folders since it became a thing.

File not opening with artboard in Fit Artboard in Window view
We have several artists that I review their files. Every time I open one of their files I have to do the "Fit Artboard in Window" shortcut. Because the artboard did not hold its original state of "fit artboard in window" from their saved file. This was not an issue before the latest update. So, I'm guessing this may be some change or glitch created in this latest update.

Fill & Stroke colors & gradients selective but only previous fill visible on object
Latest Windows PC Version 10 64-bit. Adobe 2020 (24.0.2).
Everything was normal until I began drawing a regular 5-point star with green fill & black stroke (fill color doesn't really matter). Layer shows correct colors of star in layers panel but the layer folder and what's visible on screen show no change in red fill result (which was set previously). In other words, choosing different fill colors made no difference. However, stroke color can be changed. Tried other shapes with same results. (Even restarted Illustrator.)
Putting another shape on top of a previous shape caused the stroke of 2nd shape…1 voteThis happens because the top layer has a custom appearance applied to it.
To undo that, you’d have to target the layer again, open the Appearance panel, and click the 'Clear Appearance' button.

File deletes off NTFS file server
At work we use Macs running macOS 10.15.3 and Illustrator CC 2020 (24.0.3) with working files stored on a SMB (NTFS) share volume.
If we open an Illustrator file though macOS Finder window and then work on it and save the file, if the Finder window is still open it will delete the file and give an error. In order not to lose the work we have to save as with a different name. Objects rotating when trying to transform or move
When manipulating shapes, the cursor will try and rotate the object. I will try and grab a handle to transform the shape and the object rotates. I have to zoom into the object in order to stop it from rotating despite the cursor showing the correct tool. For example if I want to make a simple box longer, I'll put my cursor over the middle handle on the left side of the box.
