1. Illustrator WILL NOT LAUNCH on Apple Silicon

   I've been having this issue for a few weeks. Trying to launch Illustrator 26.0.1 on Apple Silicon (I have tried both the Apple Silicon version and the Intel version). I don't get the splash screen. The menu at the top of the screen loads, and says "Illustrator," but all menu options are grayed out. I can't open a file by right-clicking in Finder and saying "Open with Illustrator". Illustrator freezes/crashes at this point and the only solution is to force quit via the Task Manager. Please help!

2. scale or alt-move masked object: Mask scales as well or copies in the right place, just like normal objects

   When I scale or copy a complex object in which also masked sub-objects are present, the mask stays in its original position and size, even when it is linked.

   Sometimes I have to copy something 20 times and redo all the masking for that sub-object.

   Why does the Mask not behave lik all the normal objects that I copy and paste?

3. File not located.

   Hello, i was doing work for my school and just as i had finished i saved the 2 pieces of work (2 seperate drawings) and about a couple hours later my free trial expires, so i cant access any of the files or anything. BUT thats not really the problem. I buy it for $30 just so i can get the files back and it keeps saying, file not located, or this file does not exist in this places anymore. so basically i lost my work i dont know how to get it back.

4. Portrait Mode

   Older versions of Illustrator support Portrait Mode - it seems like CC does not. This is very useful if your main computer is a Microsoft Surface docked in portrait mode or have a secondary monitor in portrait mode, or if using a Surface will on the go you prefer to work in portrait mode. It seems like it would be simple to change as when the Illustrator window is not active it reverts to portrait mode anyway, also my old version (CS4) works just fine in this mode so it has been done before. I've attached a video showing how it works currently and why it is frustrating.

5. An unknown error occurred when saving AI file

   Since updating to 24.2 on our Macs people are intermittently getting "An unknown error occurred" when trying to save an AI file. We have found in those cases outlining all the fonts will let us save. We are using the latest version of Universal Type Client for our font management.

6. Realtime Preview makes guides and objects without fill and stroke disappear when moving

   In Illustrator 24.1 the real time editing feature makes guides or other objects that have no fill or stroke or an object with a white fill and no stroke disappear when moved.

8. changing view size objects no longer show, or if I change an object it doesn't change until I change the view size

   I'll draw a box and select it, then click off but it still looks selected until I change the view size, or it will just dissappear from view all together.. Also I can't get any key commands to work, like select all or duplicate. I can't select points by dragging the direct select tool, and it won't join points. The whole program is buggy and nothing works. I have big sur 11.5.2 and a trial of Illustrator 26.01

9. Zero height or width prevents using shape panel to adjust

   If you set a rectangle's height or width to zero in the Shape panel, you cannot change it back again to a non-zero value. The object remains a rectangle, so you can use the UI and a mouse to grab and expand the shape, after which the Shape panel works as expected. (I did not test what happens if you set both dimensions to zero, but this is an edge case in any event, since I discovered it only accidentally because some values in my data set are zero.)

11. Screen bug

    Hi there!
    I recently bought a monitor Dell 27" P2719H and the status bar doesn't appear in the right place as you can see in the attached picture, but on the Dell G3 notebook screen, the status bar works properly.

    Operating system - Win 10 Pro 64 bits
    Illustrator Version - 25.4.1 64 bits
    Monitor - Dell 27" P2719H
    Notebook - Dell G3 15 3500 (Core i7-10750H, RTX 2060, RAM 16GB, 64 bits)

12. illustrator freezes when moving object, task that was not a problem before oct 21 update.

    Since last update, I have a problem moving some object in illustrator without it to freeze, making impossible to work. only workaround is to disable GPU acceleration, witch I don't like since I use scrubby zoom all the time now, and the experience is not as smooth.

    I made driver update to my graphic card (Nvidia Quadro P2000) everything is up to date.

    Please hurry... I consider uninstalling latest update so I can work more efficiently

13. Action Does not saving the SPOT Color attribute

    WHY IT IMPORTANT?

    All screen printing industry works with same Predefined spot colors, some of them isn’t exist in Pantone solid colors palette (like a White, and a Base) some exist, like a Black, but much more simple to make a custom spot Black color - when you make a color separation and printing films with HOST SEPARATION option on

    So for speed up the process - I’ve decided to make a small & simple action, which will create three predefined custom spot colors: Spot White, Base, and Spot Black. In the replication process lets use a Base just for simplifying the process

    How to replicate this bug:

    1. Create a new action in Default Action Folder
    2. Start recording
    3. create the rectangle somewhere on the artboard
    4. Fill it with any color, and set the outline to none
    5. Go to SWATCHES
    6. Add NEW SWATCH
    7. Name it the BASE, choose 100% Magenta as a color, SPOT COLOR (its important) CMYK color mode
    8. Stop the action record

    Now -1 delete all swatches in tj document (manually) and play the action - you can see the new Spot Swatch will be appeared (with a dot mark in the white triangle in the swatch pictogram)
    Now -2 make a new document, (or left in the old document) it will have a default swatches palette
    Now -3 Run the same action - On my side I see the new swatch but this new swatch isn’t a SPOT, this swatch has a PROCESS type and THIS IS A BUG!
    By the common logic I’m expected to see the new SPOT swatch with 100% magenta.

14. Aligning a group of objects to an artboard

    A bug in Align to Artboard. If I align a group of objects to Horizontal Align Center (to artboard), it's okay. But if the next click is Vertical Align Center (to artboard), all the objects of the group are aligned, not the group, but the seperate objects.

    A workaround is to click somewhere else, and then click the Vertical Align Center. But it looks like a bug to me.

15. Eyedropper picks up the wrong values when sampling a filled clipping mask

    I am using Mac OS 10.15.7 and am able to consistently reproduce this bug in both AI CC 2021 but as far back as AI CS5 running in Mac OS 10.6.8

    When a fill is applied to a clipping mask, the eye dropper will pick up incorrect CMYK/RGB values. This is especially problematic when a pure black is replaced by a 4 color process build in the printing industry.

    I would expect to eye drop the exact values applied to the object I've clicked on.

    Hooray, this issue has been fixed in the latest Beta release 29.6.51. Color now gets picked correctly from filled clipping masks now. Please try it and comment back.

16. Color changed automatically

    Posts screenshots of saved files every 3 days. It is a clipboard without any additional work. The color automatically darkens slightly. An ever-increasing problem is causing major problems with our schedules. Please come up with a way to solve it.

17. Artboards with the same number / missing number

    In the artboards menu, two have the same number, and so one cannot access or export one of those two artboards (see the attached photo, with two artboards labeled "9")

18. Clicking an object force drags it wherever my mouse goes

    Anytime I click on an object in Illustrator 25.2 it "sticks" to my cursor. If i'm using my mouse (a Logitech MX Master), it sticks for about 1 second, and drops the object wherever my cursor is positioned. If I use my Macbook's trackpad, it stays stuck until I click again.

    This has made Illustrator completely unusable in every way, and I rely on it for my career. I have no idea what to do, please help me!

19. 配置画像のリンク切れ

    macOS Big Sur ver.11.5.2 Illustrator ver.25.3.1 M1Universal

    intele MacでパッケージをしたデータをIllustrator ver.25.3.1 M1Universalで開くと画像のリンクが全て外れます。
    またリンクフォルダから1つ配置し直すと本来は全て自動的に読み込み再リンクされますが、これもされず全画像リンク処理をしなければなりません。
    改善策をおしえてください。

20. Can't open the illustration. The file is locked or in use

    We are getting an error message when we are loading our .aip file on Adobe Illustrator that says: "Can't open the illustration. The file is locked or in use." ID:-54
    Approaches (we followed to resolve this issue) :
    Uninstalled and reinstalled AI several times.
    We have checked the OS dependencies and verified with latest OS as compatible with AI.
    We have created plugins again and tried to load same in illustrator but problem remain same.
    We have rechecked and updates some build configuration but same issue again.
    We have verified the path of output folder and checked with via doing rename also.
    We have set the breakpoints also in our code for debugging purpose.
    Checked the access privileges also.
    We have checked with sample SDK project also. We have generated the .aip file after doing the build process on Xcode and tried to load on AI but same issue happened.
