  1. Blend tool with Freeform Gradients does not working properly

    Blend tool not working with shapes that contain gradients. (preview box is greyed out as well)
    It won't work from the start with shapes that already contain gradients and only produces black shapes and an error message when the color is applied after making the blend.

  2. Cambria text & large text cursor

    Looks like this was happening in 2017 as well... when using Cambria font, the cursor is 2 or 3 times as large as it should be when editing text. Makes highlighting & editing multiple rows almost impossible. I'd attach a file but others have shown the same thing already and it's simply a text box with Cambria text and a huge cursor. Text size is 11, height set at 13. In the same document but a text box using BonvenoCF, the cursor is the right height.

  3. Bounding Box resetting automatically — ruins workflow

    Normally in Illustrator, the bounding box is locked to the orientation of an object until you manually reset the bounding box. I am experiencing a bug in Adobe CC 23.0.3 where the bounding box of an object, or group of objects in this case, resets immediately after a rotation. This prevents me from executing the standard task of rotating an object, then scaling it horizontally using the bounding box to create the correct perspective (see video).

  4. Center points are not visible

    Guide objects have lost their center points. I have "Show Center" turned on in the Attributes panel and "Show Edges" turn on, and still, the Center-Points are not visible on object guides.

    Object guides used to all have center-points showing all the time, as long as the guides were turned on. Now the center-points are missing.

  5. Panels don't open with Application Frame turned off

    On MacOS, when Application Frame is turned off, and Window panels (ex: Layers, Artboards, Swatches, etc.) are condensed, the Window panels will not appear when clicked on. They only work if Application Frame is on.

  6. Workspaces not working, all panels hidden on start up.

    Just update to CC23.0.1 and when I start up Illustrator all the panels are turned off and my workspace won't change or reset.

    I can turn on the panels manually, but it resets when I close Illustrator. The reset, new workspace and manage workspaces options are greyed out. If I try to change the workspace nothing happens.

    16GB Ram

  7. Mesh objects don't get selected when only edge is marqueed

    All paths in AI get selected when you draw a marque over their edge (with no points inside selection). Segment got selected. It is fine.

    But mesh objects are immune to edge marqueing, because there is no 'segment' thing for a mesh. WHY? Why don't you make the same thing as it's done for paths? Just select seam between mesh points and allow to move both points adjacent when seam is 'selected'.

  8. Gradient angle got reset to zero, when using Color Picker

    22.1
    1. Create path
    2. Apply gradient
    3. Change gradient angle
    4. Select gradient stop
    5. Double-click Fill in toolbox to open Color picker
    6. Choose any OTHER color
    7. Hit OK

    Angle got reset to 0 (almost always)

    We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 24.0.2 on Win and 24.0.3 on MAC.

  9. Delete Color Group in Swatches ungroups group instead deleting

    When I need to completely delete color group, I select it and press Delete palette's button (or try palette's menu). Any way. AI moves all colors from it to general colors, removing only the folder, but not colors, asking nothing (even with warnings reset).
    I have to deselect my art, click first of moved colors, Shift+click the last one and delete swathes again.

  10. Freeze on First File Opened if it has Missing Fonts

    Illustrator CC version 22.1
    OS: Windows 10 Pro, version 1803

    1) Launch Illustrator
    2) Open Ai file
    3) If the first file I open after launching Ai has missing fonts the program freezes before it populates the missing fonts dialogue box. I have to force quit the application from task manager and relaunch.

    Any subsequent files that are opened after the first file do not have this issue regardless of missing fonts. I am currently working around this issue by opening a file that I know has no missing fonts first before I'm able to open any files that may…

  11. Brush won't change to basic

    When drawing in cc 2018 on macOS High Sierra version 10.13.4. Program will not allow me to select basic brush. it defaults to 3pt round or a bristle brush. If I delete that brush it won't allow to draw anything. Need to restart and still won't allow me to select basic brush.

  12. Pathfinder works wrong

    I have an ellipse with radial fill and I want it to be partially cropped by rectangle.
    I select both rectangle with no fill, intersecting my circle, and apply Divide from Pathfinder.
    I expect middle part to have gradient, positioned as uncut circle, but it becomes clear.
    If i swap order of these objects, middle part has gradient, but AI resets it's position.

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  14. iMac 5k 2017 w/ Radeon Pro 580 - Illustrator very slow on GPU preview

    Illustrator version 22.01
    macOS 10.12.6
    iMac 5k 2017 w/ i5 3,8Ghz - 16Gb RAM - 2TB Fusion - Radeon Pro 580
    All the file (also a very little file) is slow on movement, on move object and run with shot and NOT fluid. Slow on select object or shape or everything on file.
    The same file opened on a "slow and old" MacMini with the same configuration and the same macOS is not slow and the movement is very fluid.
    Switching to CPU cause the same things, everything is very slow. Also switching to Print Preview is slow.

  15. "Place copy" of RGB CC library item in CMYK doc changes document color setting to RGB

    Illustrator 21.1.0
    1. Created text or other items in an RGB AI doc.
    2. Add to CC library via drag and drop.

    3. Open CMYK AI doc
    4. Right click the RGB item and select "Place Copy" (looks like that's cut off on the GIF — probably recorded with too few frames).

    Expected result: RGB items converted to CMYK

    Actual result: CMYK doc converted to RGB

  16. Selecting a path no longer helps to select its anchor below another anchor above from an unselected path

    iMac running Ventura 13.5.2
    Illustrator 29.4

    Since the latest update (I think), I cannot select anchor points that are below others like I used to.

    Until now, I used to be able to click on the object from which I wanted to select an anchor point (black line in the movie), then click on the desired anchor point with the white arrow and it would select the anchor point from this object.

    Now it selects the anchor point from the other object that is above (red line). Which means now I need to bring the first object to the front…

  17. Error in Startup Script - Line 2798: { No matching closing brace found

    I am getting an error on launch of Illustrator, seems to have begun with the latest update.

    Error in /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Startup Scripts CC/Adobe Photoshop/photoshop_v2025.jsx

    The error can be dismissed and the application runs fine after that.

    Note that this is an error reffering to a startup script named "Adobe Photoshop", but the error comes up when launching Illustrator. Interestingly, there is no error when launching Photoshop.

    再現手順
    1. いくつかの図形を重ねて合成モードを乗算に設定したうえでグループ化しグループの抜きのチェックボックスを外す。
    2. ドキュメントのグループの抜きを設定する。
    3. PDF X4で保存する。
    4. そのPDFをAcrobatで開く。
    5. Illustrator上でのオーバープリントプレビューの表示と異なる。

    Actual result
    PDFを書き出した状態とIllustrator上での表示が異なる。

    Expected Result
    PDFの表示とIllustrator上での表示が同じになる。

    Illustrator上でのグループの構造の違いがIllustrator上のレンダリング結果とPDF書き出し結果で相違が生じています。1でのグループの抜きのチェックを外したグループではIllustrator上ではグループ内ので抜き処理を行わず合成モードの処理を行います。これがPDFを書き出した際にグループの抜きと解釈され、全てがノックアウトされた状態でPDFが作成されます。どちらが正しいかという事は難しいのですが、グループに設定されたノックアウトを拒否する設定をPDF書き出し時にも有効にするほうが表現の幅が拡がるように思います。

    1. Overlap some shapes, set each objects the blending mode to Multiply, group them, and uncheck the KnockoutGroup checkbox in the Opacity panel.

  19. XMPMeta is not defined on ILST 28.7.1 on MacOS #515

    As of ILST 28.7.1 on MacOS, XMPMeta has stopped working. However, it works fine on:
    - ILST 28.7.1 on Windows
    - ILST 28.6 on MacOs

    The issue also exists on ILST (Beta) 29.1 on MacOs.

  20. Ai crashes (hangs) after installing (and selecting) Google Noto Color Emoji font!

    Since Ps has added NCE (Noto Color Emoji) font, Ai doesn't recognize it! I downloaded the font from GFont (NCE v2.038). After installing (for "All users"), whenever I select the NCE font in Ps or Ai, those apps crash (hang)!

    If I uninstall the font (which I downloaded from GFont, not the Ps native installed one) and reinstall Ps, the font works OK, but again it doesn't appear in the Ai font list!
