1. Copy/paste vector: Illustrator → Figma/Inkscape gives inconsistent results

   SInce 25.3, some shapes are distorted when copied from AI to Figma, Inkscape or any other software, as you can see in the attached image.

   It's not systematic. I attached a document to reproduce the issue.
   Note that it's not fixed by the last prerelease.

2. 画像をコピー＆ペーストするとスライスの設定が消失します

   ドキュメント間で画像のコピー＆ペーストを行なうと、ペーストしたドキュメントの矩形に付与したスライスの設定が消失してしまいます。
   画像を含まないオブジェクトのコピー＆ペースト、ドキュメント間でのドラッグ＆ドロップによる画像の複製では再現しません。

3. Illustrator holds on to DWG/DXF files until it quits

   If a DWG/DXF file is opened, imported or even looked at by illustrator, then those files can't be moved, renamed, deleted or modified at all until illustrator is quit. Windows shows the error "Can't do 'x' because the file is still open in Illustrator.
   Seems to be a 2020/2021 issue as 2019 doesn't do the bug.

5. Scatter Brush doesn't align smoothly to curve

   Hi, I'm using Illustrator 24.2.3 on an Imac late 2015.

   Scatter Brush seems to have issues with curves. If I create a scatter brush from a single object, the line seems to follow the curve loosely in straight line segments, creating a very jagged effect. I've attached images to hopefully clarify. The thinner "smaller brush element" examples I have included are made from a small circle shape a little less than one pixel in diameter. The "jagged" issue seems to disappear, however, if the curve is large enough (see the 11-inch small-brush-circle below) OR until the stroke weight increases to something over 6pt. (at which width this specific brush no longer serves its intended purpose). At the suggestion of a very helpful commenter, I tried making a larger brush element to begin with (a dot of almost half an inch diameter, about 32 pixels), and that seemed to solve the problem at first. But once I brought the point size of the brush down closer to the width I needed, the problem arises again. Hopefully that all makes sense! I would be happy to give more clarification, examples, videos, etc if needed. Thanks!

6. Can’t save my files. 'You don’t have enough access privileges. ID: -5000' error.

   Illu wont let me save my files, even though the size is not even that large. I tried restarting my mac and quitting the application a couple times, but still doesnt seem to work.

7. Deleting a control handle with Anchor Point Tool

   I like the fact that you can eliminate a control handle on a closed shape by selecting the Convert Anchor Pt. Tool and click the handle. Problem is... when you have the Pen Tool and you hold option to access the Convert Anchor Pt. Tool, it will not delete the handle. What is up???

8. Giant Font Menu in Secondary Monitor

   Using an external/secondary monitor off of a Surface Pro 6. The Font Menu is so big it's unusable. Works fine on the main display, but gets like this on the second monitor.

9. When a document using Japanese TrueType font is opened in different OS environment, font warning is given

   When Japanese TrueType font is used in a document and opened in different OS environment,
   Even though you have installed the same font, you will get a font warning when you open it.
   Screenshots are created on Windows and open on macOS. But the opposite is also true.

   1. Create a file in Windows environment and save it using related fonts
   2. When 1 is opened in macOS environment, the corresponding font is displayed as a font problem.
   3. Open Font Search after opening has not caused any problems

   There are three types of fonts used, but problems occur with Japanese fonts or with Japanese font creation tools.

   A. IPAmj Mincho (Open License font distributed by Japanese independent administrative agency)

10. Fills rendered not accurate compared to edges when using GPU mode

    I noticed a small rendering issue with strokes in GPU mode. The boundaries seem to be somewhat inaccurate, to the point that in certain situations (regardless of whether or not they're joined and by any method), suck as a tee shape, a small bulge of one stroke can appear beyond the edge of another, even though they shouldn't.

    See attached pictures, the problem area is circled. It is subtle, but visible. There is a slight bulge extending outwards towards the right, presumably from the horizontal path at that junction. This is incorrect, the paths are joined and have identical stroke settings.

    In CPU rendering, it renders correctly, and no bulge is visible. It seems to happen somewhat inconsistently, it doesn't always effect path junctions like that, only sometimes.

    Also, the stroke width visibly changes slightly when switching between CPU and GPU mode. In my case, GPU mode seems to draw them slightly wider (higher stroke pt value) than it should be.

    I wonder if this might be due to error introduced by using single precision floats on the GPU (which I assume is the case, considering how much lower double precision float performance is on most GPUs)? Who knows.

    Regardless, the obvious workaround is to simply use CPU rendering, and it is relatively minor. But it is important to have an accurate representation of what you're doing.

    If you have documents that have this behavior, please share the them so that the team can review the bug and make it fixed. Screenshots help, but this can’t be reproduced without the test files. Thank you!

11. Color change Problems

    I have a collection of swatch colors that I save, and for some reason, they are all getting dull. A bright orange to darker gradient turns to a muddy orange and all of the swatches are dull. I copy the logo from an older file and realize how dull my colors have become. You can see how dull the colors have become in the attached image. Also, the Graphic Styles have become duller. You can see the new refreshed colors form a different file with the two swatches at the middle bottom of the Graphic Styles window. This is a VERY serious problem, because all of the colors on my artboard have switched to these duller colors, so I have to update them to the original. Not sure why this is happening, but it needs to be fixed.

    Also, is there a way you can make a global gradient change an option that you have to choose to do, because it's changing gradients that I don't want changed. Both of these problems are VERY FRUSTRATING and waste my time.

12. Illustrator 23.0.1 crashing almost immediately after launch

    I am running Mojave 10.14.2 (system screenshot attached). Every time I start Illustrator, it runs for 5-10 seconds and then crashes. There are no error messages; it just dies. The same thing happens with InDesign. Photoshop appears to run without issue.

    I have tried looking for updates in the CC app, but it says that the programs are all up to date.

    I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the software, but the issue remains.

    I have seen responses for similar issues where Adobe techs say that the issue has been fixed on version 23.0.1, but that is not the case; I am running this version and the issue persists.

14. Align distribute center doesn't work

    Trying to use Align>Distribute center with Align to Selection selected - on a group of elements.

    Elements arent distributed symmetrically but seem to randomly distribute, some elements very close together and others very far apart. Same issue has been repeating since updating to 23.0.1. Working on MacOS Mojave 10.14.

    For example the attached 3 elements were aligned with horizontal center distribution, but the center object moved close to the left text block.

15. Illustrator 23.0.1 slow, lags, and crashes

    Updated to 23.0.1 on my new iMac Pro running macOS Mojave 10.14.1. Slow to open 24.7mb pdf. Serious delays for every process. Selecting and deleting objects should not cause beach balling on an an iMac Pro. Even saving files is very slow and crashed on me twice. Simply closing Ai causes it to crash.

16. AI 23.0 crashes when drag-copying simple objects when yo have HotDoor's CADtools installed

    Since I installed version 23.0 it frequently and repeatably crashes when drag-copying even the simplest objects. In the latest example it was a line segment -- two connected vertices. After recovering, I rebuilt the objects and tried again -- same result. This is such a basic operation that I do it without thinking -- having it cause an instant crash is very debilitating to my workflow.

17. Autosave / Autorecovery gets disabled on its own

    Windows 10, AI CC (latest release)

    Autosave disables itself. When AI crashes - as it does - I get nothing.

    I set auto-save for every 2 minutes in preferences. Then, after Illustrator crashes, I go back in to preferences to find it has unchecked that option. Nothing. I lose a load of work.

    There are no expletives for how I feel about this. PLEASE sort it out?

18. Artboard tooltip cannot be dismissed

    When I double click on an Artboard to open its properties, I receive a blue tooltip "Shift-click to select multiple artboards. Alternatively, Shift-drag to draw a marquee...". However, I am unable to dismiss this tooltip because the Artboard Options dialog is open, and that is at the highest z-index, and I cannot interact with any other interface unless I dismiss this dialog.

    We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 23.0.

19. "Envelope distort > Make with top object" is warping/distorting text.

    I've seen this issue in a lot of online forums, but found no answer. I'm using the CC trial version, fairly new to Illustrator.

    Online tutorials show users creating a shape > typing text > converting text to outline > move shape to front > selecting shape and text > Object > Envelope Distort > Make with Top Object. It shapes the text perfectly to shape, without distorting the font or curving the letters.

    But when I follow these steps, but my text always comes out wavy and distorted within the shape. I've tried Envelope Options and deselecting "Distort Appearance" but this does nothing.

    I'm not really advanced enough to use the "Make with Mesh" option/workaround for filling shapes w/ text -- most people recommend this workaround but I'd love to be able to do what videos like this show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KPHYfDVq_0

    Why won't "Make from Top Object" work for me? So frustrating, seems pretty basic, according to many videos. But many people also seem to have this problem. Is it just a bug?

20. Pasting symbols now creates unique symbols instead of instances of the original symbol

    Copy-pasting a symbol —whether individually or by using the paste to all artboards command — now creates a new symbol instead of creating instances of the original symbol. Alt-dragging the symbol to a new artboard creates a new instance of the original symbol as expected.

    This seems to be a new bug, as I can't recall ever having this issue before. Thanks for checking into it!
