The bottom of large menus are not visible when the windows taskbar is located at the top of the screen.

Save as... it is not working in my MACBOOK Pro
I was working a a project requested by my Teacher. I saved the final project .AI plus I needed it PDF version as I needed share both with my Teacher for grade purposes. But, it is not possible save as PDF or export as image nothing.
When I save, a message error shows up and If I try to open the pdf the same message appears. But, if i look the PDF document saved I can see a miniature of the work. I shared with 3 colleagues and also with my Teacher and all the people said they can visualize…

Trackpad zooming causing an earthquake on Illustrator CC 2018
Zooming in via the trackpad causes an unexpected earthquake-like glitch. Zooming in via keyboard shortcuts work as expected.
Also, at the end of the video, I show off the full screen bug, which has been present since CC 2017 version after updating to High Sierra. This also happens in probably all other applications (its like this too I believe in Ps and Id) Thought that would've been fixed by now! Thanks.

Parts of image becomes invisible in preview mode
Every now and then when I rotate, move or resize objects, parts of my image become invisible, like there were rectangular shaped holes cut through it. I have to go to "Outline" and back to "Preview" to make it look normal again.
I use 23.0.3, latest Windows 10, Nvidia GTX460.

CMYK profile exports as RGB pdf
saving cmyk document and opens in acrobat as RGB. Checked profile in acrobat says CMYK. used old document pre update, those files work fine

A4 template out of size from home screen's quick new file
When I click on new A4 file button from the quick actions in the home screen of illustrator, it leads to a new file with a totally out of size template (see screenshots) : 74,083 x 104,775mm instead of 210 x 297mm

saving as an svg file, the part that should be the path tag is output as an ellipse tag.
operating system
MacOS 10.14.6 Mojave- Draw an ellipse.
- Duplicate vertically.
- “Intersect” in the path finder.
- Save as svg file.
- When viewed with a web browser, the left and right sides are rounded. It should be sharp. I looked inside the svg file with a text editor, the part that should be the "path" tag is the "ellipse" tag.
Until Illustrator CC 2017, there is no problem because it is output with the "path" tag. Since Illustrator CC 2018 and later, it will be an "ellipse" tag, so the shape will be broken.

File > Place svg: altered shapes
In Illustrator v24.0, File>Place of some svg images distorts the shapes. It works OK if I open the svg file directly in Illustrator v24.0, select the layer and paste it on my artboard (in another open file). It also works OK if I do File>Place in Illustrator v23.1.1.
The "attach a file" option here won't let me attach an svg (why not?) so I've attached an AI file instead. Hopefully if you export it to svg you can see the problems when importing that svg via File > Place. Some of the problem are: the "m" shape is missing a…

Colors not displaying correctly in Illustrator 25.2.1
Colors are displaying brighter and incorrectly in CMYK color mode. I've color calibrated my monitor; restarted my computer; uninstalled/reinstalled Illustrator and still all files pulled into Illustrator are displaying this way.

I have had trouble with a corrupted preference file in the past, but I also tried deleting the file and reinstalling with no change. I've uploaded a screen shot of how the colors are displaying.

Solid black bar 1.5" wide across entire width of screen blocking top part of opened file
On opening existing file, solid black bar 1.5" wide and across entire screen at top of screen blocks that portion of file. Cannot resize it or delete it. Cannot access that part of file for editing. Was fine 3/30/25 after upgrading Illustrator on that day due to issues of uncontrollable mouse action.

Disabling "Show The Home Screen When No Documents Are Open" corrupts custom workspace
When "Show The Home Screen When No Documents Are Open" in General Preferences is disabled, the next time Illustrator is run, my custom workspace is corrupted, for lack of a better word. The toolbar and all panels are missing, and the Control Panel has become floating.

"In App" tutorials not actually In App
When I click on these tutorials, nothing happens. When I called the help, they said there are only tutorials online.
Why does this screen say "In App Tutorials" if there are only videos online? I'd assume that I could click on a tutorial option and it would walk me through the tutorial, similar to mail merge wizard. Or it would show pop up balloons with instructions on what to do, then I would do it.

Zoom to Selection Doesn't Work within Text
When I zoom in on Illustrator CC (21.1.0) it works great, zooming in on the object I have selected. The problem occurs when I have a bit of text within a larger textbox selected. When I zoom in, instead of centering around the object, it zooms in on the center of my screen, often putting the selected type out of sight.
(If I have the textbox itself selected, it's fine. It's just if I'm using the type tool to select and edit type.)

Illustrator CC2019 using palettes sometimes makes palettes disappear and reappear on the left side of the screen
Every time this happens I have to reset my workspace.

Cursor stays invisible after exiting Presentation mode
How to reproduce:
Create a multiple artboard document.
Enter presentation mode.
Do not move the mouse.
Use the left and right arrow keys to view all the art boards.
Note that windows will make the mouse cursor invisible since you are not using it.
Press ESC to return to normal viewing/editing mode.
Now the mouse cursor is invisible.Work around: If you go back to presentation mode and wiggle the mouse and press ESC while the mouse is visible then the mouse will be visible in normal screen mode.

svg parse failure for valid arc command
The attached SVG file "bus.svg" is entirely valid and correct, but it loads incorrectly in Illustrator 2023 (27.5, Windows 64-bit). In particular, it fails to correctly parse the following valid arc command in a path tag's "d" attribute:
A 0.50 0.50 -45.0 0 0 767.50 652.25
If I change the arc command to set the rotation angle to 0, which has no effect on the geometry of the arc since the radii are equal to each other, then it renders correctly. Here is the same arc, but expressed in a way that Illustrator imports correctly.

Illustrator's Extended Artboard scaling PDFs down 10% (normal), but ALSO changing resolution of placed raster images. (not normal)
I work with people providing oversized graphics for convention displays. The new extended artboard is welcome, and people are using it, and when they export to PDF for print, the giant dimensions gets scaled down to 10% so it's compatible with older PDF versions. And then the printer can just scale 1000% to make the layout its normal size. While this is awkward, it's fine and can work.
But what I discovered today is that scaling down to 10% changes the resolution of placed raster images. So, when that file gets scaled up 1000% any placed images are a lower…

Illustrator stops, not responding
Operating system is Windows 7 Enterprise, Illustrator is CC 2018 or 2019. I begin to work for only 15 sec and then the program pauses with the blue spinning wheel. If I click again the screen shows a (not responding) title at the top and goes grey. This process takes another 15 sec and then snaps back into place and works again, but only for another 15 sec and repeats. I've opened and closed the program several times and also restarted the computer but no change. This only happens in Illustrator and no other CC programs I use. Any ideas…

AIX file opens as blank white square
Working in Windows 10 Pro and Adobe Illustrator 24.3
Hi, I've recently run into the issue of not being able to open AIX files in illustrator despite having logged in to ArcGIS Online. Now, when I open an AIX file I'm just given a blank white square without any of my layers. I haven't had this issue before, so I'm wondering what is causing it. Any help would be appreciated. File I'm trying to open is attached as well as a screen grab of what I'm seeing when I try to open it.

Type resizing issue in Illustrator CC 2019 v23.0.1
If I try to change the point size of a typeface on type that is indeed selected (any typeface - not specific to any one in particular), while I can select or type in a specific size in the type "window" (cmd T to open, or I just open it from my docked windows) it has no effect on the actual size. I can change the size using the panel across the top (see attached screen cap) just fine.
This just started happening today. I've done no updates related to my OS (latest version for Mac of Mojave) or Illustrator.
