Stylize Outer Glow does not show
BUG: When applying "Effect >> Stylize >> Outer Glow", the effect does not appear on object stroke or fill.
This is constant between multiple files.
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

Objects behind clipping mask cannot move outside of drawing area
What is the point in a clipping mask if the objects behind it cannot fall off the drawing area? May as well use Microsoft Paint to be honest

CMYK Spectrum on color tab looks broken
On the latest Illustrator update the CMYK Spectrum looks broken on the color tab. At first I thought it was a display problem however comparing other Adobe apps and even in illustrator color picker there is nothing wrong.

command+option+shift to duplicate an element crash Illustrator every time

Paragraph Styles reverting back

I updated a paragraph style I've been using since the last version. So when I save the document it reverts some of the paragraphs to the previous paragraph style.

Illustrator loses focus after editing in group
When a group is double clicked to edit inside (isolation mode), on leaving isolation mode the Illustrator application loses focus and clicking on any tool has no effect. To regain focus the icon in the Windows Taskbar has to be clicked.

File Not Rendering From Cold Start
Opening an illustrator file while Illustrator is closed will load Illustrator as normal but won't render the file once its loaded. The file is open but refuses to show with only the Recent files/New file screen showing, but with all the UI for a working file.
Only way to gain access is to force quit Illustrator and load it without opening a file.

Text Objects become unresponsive
I'm encountering an issue where text objects will become unresponsive to direct selection. They behave like they have been locked but they haven't been, and using unlock all does nothing. The only way I've found to move them is by doing a broad drag select and gathering up multiple text objects at once. This will sometimes cause the text object to display it's bounding box. At this point I can deselect each of the other objects that were selected along with it and be left with just the problem object. Trying to move the object with the cursor will put…

slow choppy zoom on PC
whether I use the zoom tool or key combo/scroll, zoom in or out takes between about a full second to multiple seconds. makes it very hard to control. this seems to happen regardless of the document complexity. Photoshop and XD zoom well.
this PC got a fresh Windows 10 install a month ago, then Illustrator was installed for the first time. this has been an issue since then.
I've tried GPU Performance preference on and off.
I've uninstalled, cleaned, re-installed Illustrator a few times since then.

Placed AI file in Photoshop as smart object won't launch Illustrator to edit anymore
Using Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134, Illustrator 23.0.1, Photoshop 20.0.0
With both Illustrator and Photoshop open, do the following:
1. Create a file in Illustrator (1 rectangle)
2. Save as .ai file, compatible w/17+, Create PDF compatible, Embed ICC Profiles, Use Compression
3. Make new Photoshop file
4. Place embedded & navigate to .ai file
5. Open as smart object (page)
6. Commit transform
7. Double-click thumbnail icon to edit in Illustrator
8. Get the following error, " Could not edit original smart object because the application which created the smart object could not be launched."3 votes -
drag paragraph styles in the window to order
If you drag paragraph styles in the window to order, you cannot click on styles again.

Illustrator WILL NOT display art OR artboards.
How about making Illustrator useable for starters?
I pay enough for this service. I have done a full update and restart of my computer, all of my adobe products are up to date, AND I've uninstalled and reinstalled Illustrator.
This is what I get when I open a new document. Show artboards is on. NOTHING comes up despite using ALL of the fixes I can find in your boards.I expect a service I drop $700 a year on to actually WORK Adobe.

Hi Adobe,
I downloaded the new illustrator, 2019 version. Happy to see that the eyedropper tool can adopt colors from images again.
However the BlendTool seems to be different. In earlier versions it was possible to ajust the line on which you blended certain shapes... It appeared between the shapes as a loose vector line. This line is gone now, the only thing I can ajust are the shapes which I blended.. Can you guys fix this again in an update?Thanks! Bjorn.

No Rectangle Shape in toolbar
hi there, today the CC installed advised me to install a new version of Illustrator. Install went smoothly, but I noticed when I opened Illustrator that the shape tool that lets me draw a rectangle is missing. The rectangle with radial corners is there; so I can make one and set the corner rounding to 0; but it isn't as fast and convenient as just drawing a rectangle with sharp corners directly. Is this a new feature? Or is this a bug? (I'm hoping it is a bug)

No de-selection of gradient Point / Appearance panel behaviour in AI23
If I edited a gradient point once, the selected point stays selected forever. I is possible for me to select another gradient point, but not de-select the point.
Why would this be necessary?
Because, when I edit some stacked layers of gradients in the appearance panel (what I do very often), the editing of the gradient hides the complete appearance, showing only the highlighted color swatch of the gradient point in the appearance panel.
The only way to get the whole appearance visible again in the panel, is to swith to another tool (i.e. selection tool). This is very time…1 voteHi Marek & Dllyana,

You can deselect the selected color stop via Escape key when you are in gradient tool. I hope this works for you as a workaround to deselect the selected color stop. -
Action to merge swatches
Make it so we can create an action to merge swatches again like CS5!!!

Tool Windows Collapsed on Start
Tool windows collapsed on start — make tool windows not collapsed on start. This has happened to me before, I don't remember what fixed it. This doesn't happen if the start screen for MacBook children is used.

Can't file save as (illustrator files, pdf, eps etc), also can't open ai files
I can't save my files as any file types, I can export to png and jpeg, but when I try to save a file it just shows the spinning ball forever and does not save! It is not my laptop, as everything thing else is working as normal (including other Adobe programs which save files quickly)
If I also try and open an existing file it does the same thing!
I have tried re installing Illustrator which hasn't helped.My laptop is a Macbook pro mid 2012 (Mojave 10.14.1) with a new ssd installed. Adobe Illustrator is the lateset version…
