  1. Cannot Export Print Quality PNG from Illustrator 2021 Mac OS Catalina

    Every time I try to export my large print quality files from Illustrator as .png, I get an error message. The Operation Cannot Complete Because of an Unknown Error [!now] I am trying to maintain the 300dpi quality because this is how my printer accepts files. (As .png.) My Illustrator file is 10000 x 10000 pixels at 300 dpi. I have tried it as 150 dpi and all of the export settings and always get the error message.   2. It's 2022. Can we get some glaring, long standing bugs fixed please?

    There are long standing user requests for all of these:

    • 'Export for Screens' still adds extra pixels on exports unless the artboards are placed to exact pixels

    • Artboards can't be moved to snap to exact pixels, meaning if you move artboards you probably have to manually remove any decimal places in the artboard position, or else Illustrator will add extra pixels on export...

    • Smart Guides show up when creating or moving artboards, but don't actually work because creating or moving Artboards doesn't snap

    • Artboard names will randomly revert back to old names

  3. Can't Save As or Export

    Experiencing these exact issues reported by other users.

    Tried Uninstalling/Re-Installing
    Granting Full Disk Access
    Uninstalling/Installing Older Version (25.4.2)
    All the different combinations of shutting down and restarting
    Reset SMC

    Nothing is working.

  4. Svg export

    Hi! I met with you at CreativePro conference in Seattle. I would like to see more control when exporting svg from Illustrator. More specifically, the ability to remove the title tag when exporting. If not, that's ok, the svgomg site cleans up svg code well. Thank you!

  5. Bug: Export to SVG messing up illustration

    When i export an artboard or selection to svg it messes up the location of some parts of the illustration while exporting to other formats (png) works correct. I use illustrator version 26.3.1. I have like 20 other artboards with other illustrations, all messed up. Like a month ago it still worked.

  6. JPG export to RGB keeps coming up with an error

    In CC 2017 when I try and export a file to a RBG JPG file an error keeps coming up saying that the file cannot be written due to an error.

    This has been happening for a while now.

  7. Failed SVG 1.1 Import/Export in Illustrator CC 21.1.0 (Win)

    1. Isolate Blending sets to default mode on all fonts when importing SVG-files to Illustrator and cause ”bitmap fonts” on printed paper in web browsers for Windows with embedded fonts from exported PDF-files from Illustrator.

    2. Transform lines ignored in SVG-Import in Illustrator from scaled Graphic/Movie Clip from Animate CC 16.5.1.104 (Win).

    3. Tracking text failed and ignored in SVG-Import and Export in Illustrator (SVG-Export from Animate).

  8. SVG "Export" or "Save as" not working

    Unable to export or save any file as SVG unless I select an artboard, never had issues with this before. It does nothing when trying to, not even a error message.

  9. Unable to collect multiple assets for export

    I am unable to collect multiple assets for export in Illustrator. I select several different layers and when I click collect for export as multiple assets they get compiled into a single asset. This is EXTREMELY inconvenient as I need to export 400 icons and I don't want to have to click into each one, exit isolation mode, collect as single asset 400 times.

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  11. Export As SVG does not work. Leaves no File,

    24.2.1, Windows 10
    File >Export As [SVG, use artboards]
    Expected to see the file when I exported, did not, repeated 3X,
    No file was saved to directory.

    I then opened Illustrator 2019 which is still installed, and it worked as normal.
    Export As SVG is the most used feature in illustrator for me, and this bug renders it useless. No file gets exported.
    Bug did not occur on same Illustrator version for Mac.

  12. "Export As..." is generating poor quality images

    Using "Export As" to generate JPG or PNG file is having poor quality results recently, photos look grainy. In order to get the quality that is expected, you now have to go back to using "Save for Web (Legacy)" feature

  13. Keyboard Shortcuts "Export Text..." file missing tab delimiter under "Menu Commands"

    Steps to repeat: go to Edit/ Keyboard Shortcuts/ "Export Text..."
    Then import the text file as a tab delimited data file in a spreadsheet of your choice.

    In Excel: go to Data/ Get Data/ From File/ From Text/CSV/, select the shortcuts txt file, set the delimiter to 'Tab' and click 'Load'.

    Look down the rows and at the menu commands...

    Expected behaviour:
    Edit/ Keyboard Shortcuts/ "Export Text..." should give me a consistently tab delimited file. This means, in the spreadsheet you should see the shortcut in the next column to the command (same row).

  14. Match maximum allowable PDF export dimensions to maximum artboard dimensions

    When I try to save my artboard as a PDF I get this error: "The dimensions of this page are out-of-range". After researching, I found that the artboard needs to be under 200" to export as a PDF. Any way to change this limitation to 227" to match the maximum artboard size of illustrator so we don't get this error?

  15. All my links rotate 90° when opening the file

    when i opened my file, all the links in 0° rotation, rotated to 90°... now i have to rotate all individually. x_x

    this happened to me other 3 times in different files in the past.

  16. Type Object Selection by Path Only not working correctly

    When a Type Object is rotated, Ai selects it when the pointer is clicked in side the bounding box of the rotated object, even when Selection by Path Only is active.

  17. Asset Export

    Illustrator 2022 - When using the asset export window with one of the file types being set to SVG, the resulting SVG MAC OS finder previews show up as empty artboards. If you open them in illustrator the art is there, but way off on the canvas and I have to manually select all then align them to the center of the artboard. Very annoying. This never happened with Illustrator 2020.

  18. PNG export with specific font look broken

    When I export any file as PNG / JPEG which included type the font become broken/blur.

    I am not sure how can I overcome this issue i tried from different accounts and computer as well but is still the same.

  19. Save for Displays: SVG export is extremly slow on Windows

    I do have a file with around 100 artboards with simple icons that need to be exported to SVG.

    This process is extremly slow on Windows on a decent machine. Every SVG takes about 3sec to save. CPU usage shown AI is running only on Core #2. The same file exports in seconds on my 8 years old Mac.

  20. Units preference not retained on asset panel export

    Details of your operating system and version of Adobe Illustrator
    Current version of CC on a Microsoft Surface windows 10 pro

    The steps you were taking when you experienced the issues:
    It's in both the asset export panel and the export artboard panel. My global preferences are set to inches as well as the originating document.

    I'm often creating elements then exporting various bits as assets. So the asset export panel is handy for this. I could just copy and past into a new document and "save as pdf". It's just a smoother flow for my brain to use…
