  1. AIPaintStyleSuite not found

    Trying to update a plugin to use the Illustrator 2020 SDK on Mac. Previously using the 2017 SDK. The SPBasicSuite AcquireSuite function fails to find the AIPaintStyleSuite when building with the 2020 SDK.

  2. Pinch to Zoom not working

    Seems this issue has been beaten to death with no resolution...Pinch to zoom and two finger panning does not work for me. I am using a Dell XPS 15" 9570 with everything updated. Macbook does this feature flawlessly however not on windows. I know I am not the only one. PLEASE fix this issue.

  3. object distortion on perspective grid after pathfinder unite

    Windows 10 home, Illustrator 2020.

    After uniting two or more rectangles on the perspective grid to make a more complex shape, moving/copying the new object using the perspective selection tool results in distortion as the object appears to have become detached from it's perspective plane. The behaviour is shown in the attached image.

    Inserting the step Object > Perspective > Attach to active directly after Unite allows the object to move correctly (thanks Monika Gause) although it was suggested that perhaps this step shouldn't be necessary and it should be able to move correctly without it.

  4. Place - wedge in image appears and moving images is clunky

    When I place an image, a wedge appears, and it only goes away when I lock, and then unlock the layer. If I start moving the image around again, the wedge appears again.

  5. Why can't you make snap work again?

    I work with die cuts and i need precision. Don't remember from which version but illutrator sucks at snapping now. I mean all shapes i make get 20.001 or 19.999 and try using compound, it doesn't work! You can't draw with precision anymore.

  6. Can't Add Artboards in Increments of 10 by Using Shift

    Used to be able in the new document window add 10 artboards by shift+clicking the buttons to the side. Now whenever I do it, it's just one at a time. Would be nice to have that back.

  7. 'Turn off Data Recovery for complex documents' should be on by default

    The data recovery setting for complex documents should be on by default. Secondary to this, why aren't my illustrator settings saved in the Creative Cloud in the creative cloud service we pay so much for? I've had a situation we're I've upgraded to a new illustrator version through CC then started to work not realising this feature is now off!!! I've done a whole lot of work in a large file and not only did it not recover the document after a crash the program reverted the document to a state 2 days prior! The file even says I saved…

    i have been unable to save my files properly since yesterday when i worked on a project thats has images, first i got a messages on illustrator that auto save wont work because the file im working on is large then when i tried to export my project for screen, instead of saving just as png, it saved as png.tmp$$ and just add to rename before i can get my file and also when i saved my files it keep saving as a temp file since then, have to rename the files saved and include .ai to get the file,…

  10. Illustratr crashes when opening an existing file, on the latest version (24)

    As soon as i open the latest version of illustrator (24) a window pops up saying Illustrator has crashed and that autosave has been turned off. Then when i go to click ok the screen freezes and I can't even shut Illustrator off.

  11. win10 2009 kein konformer Kachelhintergrund in der Startmenü-Verknüpfung

    ich bin mir relativ sicher, das die fehlerhafte Darstellung des illustrator icons im neuen win 10 startmenü nur im dark mode) mit einem in der illustrator.exe implementierten xml code zusammen hängt.

    microsoft wird mit dem nächsten update die icon hintergründe im startmenü deaktiviert. im dark mode ist dann jede kachel dunkelgrau, die typo ist weiß. beim Illustrator icon ist die Schrift aber schwarz und der Hintergrund hellgrau.

    der white mode von win 10 2009 ist nicht betroffen!

    ich habe illustrator & creative cloud mehrfach installiert und die Registry danach gesäubert (sogar ganz frisch auf einem zweit Rechner für Testzwecke installiert).…

  12. Need to double up on action when resizing artboard to bounds or art

    Op Sys: macOS Catalina 10.15.6
    Illustrator version: 24.2.3

    Hello– After years of putting up with this I am hoping to finally have it cleared up. When I want to resize the artboard to either the artwork bounds or selected art, the app 'ignores' my first attempt to do so and only picks it up after the second attempt.

  13. Impossible to change preset of work area. Right panels, tools and control bar disappear every opening

    OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
    Illustrator version: 24.3
    Everytime I open a document (new or saved) right panels, tools and control bar desappear. Moreover, work area settings doesn't work: at first the work area doesn't appear and, if I try to set it, it only takes the "automation" configuration but the relative panels do not appear

  14. Eyedropper tool not showing correct colors sampled outside of Illustrator

    When I click and drag the eyedropper tool outside of Illustrator to sample a color from something else (a website, pdf document, etc.), the color isn't correctly picked up.
    For example, if I move the eyedropper over something orange, it shows in Illustrator as blue or black; even if I sample a large white space, it shows in Illustrator as a different color. It seems to only be showing sampled colors as white, neutral, black/gray, and shades of blue.
    The program is up-to-date.
    I tried it in two browsers, Chrome and Safari, and the results were the same in both. …

    We have seen this issue specific to macOS 10.15. Enabling “Screen Recording” access right to Illustrator resolved this issue.

    You can change this setting by going to Apple > System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Screen Recording and add Illustrator Application.

  15. Illustrator 125% Scaling is missing... (UI is too big, or too small)

    i have a 16.5 inches laptop with latest version of windows 10, and 1920*1080 full HD display.
    the normal, and default UI scale of Windows 10 is 125% on my screen, that looks very great and standard.
    in illustrator 2020, i have a big problem in UI scaling. there is just two options:
    scale to lower supported scale factor, and scale to higher supported scale factor.... that first one makes UI scale to 100% and i can't read anything, and second one makes it on 150% scale that is very very big.

    there is not same problem in photoshop…

  16. Links panel shows wrong colour space

    In a CMYK document the Links panel shows RGB images as CMYK. In the example image a PNG, which can never be CMYK, is incorrectly reported as being CMYK.

    This is in a CMYK Illustrator file. In an RGB file the image is correctly reported as being RGB. Placed CMYK images are correctly reported as CMYK.

  17. Shifting decimal

    Not sure really where this lies. And it doesn't seem to have any other affect that I am aware of, but this just started with the latest upgrade - 24.3.

    I typically select an outlined piece of text and copy it then create a new document that is a couple of inched bigger and paste it in. I do this when I am creating production files for large-format kiss cut vinyl production.

  18. I lost 5 hours worth of my illustrator work

    I was trying to open a file that I used to work on 30 minutes each day until I had some other work and stopped working on Illustrator for a week. After a week when I tried to reopen the file, it shows me this error message (attached an image file) and opens a blank file instead. All my work is lost.
