1. Cannot open multiple files

   1. Version 21.1.0 (windows)
   2. Selecting multiple files, right clicking to open all files
   3. Expected results that all files open the same way I have been opening files for years.
   4. Only one file opens and locks illustrator, need to close out program through task manager, restart computer and that sometimes fixes the issue. If not I have to uninstall and reinstall illustrator and that fixes the issue for a day or two.

2. Failure to Launch on OS X 10.12 (Sierra)

   Fresh install (never had Illustrator nor Photoshop on this Mac), on OSX 10.12.6. Downloaded and installed okay, both Illustrator and Photoshop, but neither of them successfully launch. Both abort out before the splash screen appears with an uncaught exception.

3. Crashes on "Cancel" in Keyboard Shortcuts Window

   1. Illustrator CC 2017 (21.1.0)
   2. Pressed "Cancel" in the Keyboard Shortcuts window.
   3. Expected Keyboard Shortcuts window to close without saving changes.
   4. Illustrator crashes

   No plugins installed.

   Removing preferences resolves the bug, but something in the process of re-setting my preferences makes the bug return.

4. Text selection not showing highlighting after macOS High Sierra 10.13 download

   When selecting any text, the text is not highlighted, thus removing my ability to know what I have selected. I am running a mid 2010 MacBook Pro. All was working well until I updated to macOS High Sierra 10.13. I have done all work arounds with no success.

5. Shortcuts stop working

   Sometimes my shortcuts on the keyboard just stops working, so I can't press cmd+d to duplicate, or copy etc, while I'm able to press Spacebar to move around.
   they just deactivate by themselves, while other's continue to work. To resolve this, I have to restart the program every time, even after short periods of working on the current project.

   The current project isn't even graphic intensive, but I get this issue. This has happened before a few times.

6. Swatches disappear

   I've been experiencing this phenomena in which my swatches would disappear every now and then. One day, I'll have all the default swatches available in the swatch menu, other days, it'll only be the color white.

7. Fix Illustrator freezing and crashing

   I'm using Illustrator CC 2013.5. Illustrator freezes and ultimately crashes about 7 minutes after opening the program. Have to close the program using Task Manager. Uninstall/reinstall did not fix it.

8. Naming of Pathfinder functions is inconsistent between the Pathfinder Panel and Effect

   Naming of Pathfinder functions is inconsistent between the Pathfinder Panel (and the Undo text) and the Pathfinder Effect.

   The Tooltip shows “Unite” in the Pathfinder Panel
   Unite from the Pathfinder Panel is the same as Add.
   Unite is missing from the Pathfinder Effect and is named Add instead.
   If you have clicked the Unite button in the Pathfinder Panel, the Undo option displays “Undo Add”.

   The Tooltip shows “Minus Front” in the Pathfinder Panel
   Minus Front from the Pathfinder Panel is the same as Subtract.
   Minus Front is missing in the Pathfinder Effect and is named Subtract instead.
   If you have clicked the Minus Front button in the Pathfinder Panel, the Undo option displays “Undo Subtract”.

   The easiest way to solve this is to change the tooltips in the Pathfinder panel for Unite to Add and for Minus Front to Subtract

9. Trackpad selection issue with High Sierra

   When selecting objects or drawing with any of the tools, Illustrator is not recognizing the trackpad release, so objects remain selected and the only way to deselect them is to Command-tab out of the application. I was able to duplicate this problem on my laptop as well. Appears to be related to the trackpad because the same issue doesn't appear to happen when I use a standard mouse.

10. File preview is corrupted, when bottom layer is hidden

    All Round Join/Round Cap strokes are incorrectly shown as Miter Join/Butt Cap in preview on MacOS when file is saved with bottom-most layer hidden. Contents or name of bottom layer do not change behavior.

14. All Dialog Boxes Open Behind App

    This is happening more and more, and usually when first opening the application. If some dialog box, typically a warning or something, pops up but for some reason then gets pushed behind or hidden by the main app window, there is no way to get back to it and no way for the app to function. Trying to click on ANY part of the app just gets the "no - beep", the sound that plays when you are trying to do something but something else has to happen first... like if a warning box pops up and you try to click ANYWHERE on the app, it will beep at you until you accept/cancel the warning, THEN you can operate the app as normal.

    BUT, when this box becomes hidden or is just behind the app, nothing can get you back to it. You can't minimize the app because it just beeps at you, waiting for you to respond to the warning. You can CMD+Tab to other apps, but when you get back to Illustrator, it doesn't refresh of bring the warning box back.

    On the dock icon, there is a "Show all windows" option, but that doesn't fix the problem either.

    On the Menu Bar > Illustrator > Quit is grey-ed out, the Dock Icon "Quit" doesn't work, so all you can do is open the Activity Monitor and FORCE QUIT Illustrator. Then, reopen and hope it doesn't happen again.

15. Can only open 1 Ai file at a time

    Can only open one Ai file at a time. If current Ai file open is open in Illustrator and you try to open another file concurrently through all means, it will not open. The only way around this is to open each file in a different version of Illustrator, or completely close Ai to open the new file.

17. ブラックの色をドラッグ＆ドロップで選ぶとBK100の色がリッチブラックになる

    塗り（または線）を画像のように下のブラックを選択するところからドラッグ＆ドロップで選ぶとBK100がリッチブラックになってしまった。 
ドラッグ＆ドロップではなく、クリックで色を選ぶとBK100になる。スウォッチの中に入っているブラックからドラッグ＆ドロップで選ぶとBK100になる。これはCS6の時からある
バグです。

18. Gestures Broken

    Gestures (e.g. pinch to zoom, two finger panning) don't work in Illustrator for me anymore. They used to work just fine on both my Wacom tablet and laptop's touchpad, but now don't work for either. They work in Photoshop, just not Illustrator, so I'm not sure if it's an option that's been deselected or an actual bug, but I can't find the option if so. I can usually scroll vertically, pinch to zoom sometimes scrolls horizontally instead, and I can't use gestures to actually zoom at all.

20. Selection tool doesn’t allow to resize selected artwork, no resize handles

    My Selection tool does not show the resize handles anymore — this is making it nearly impossible to design easily — I have to measure and assign all aspects if it isn't sized right the first go. I have tried everything to fix it and I need it for school.

    This often happens when the bounding box gets accidentally turned off, presumably with the Cmd/Ctrl+Shift + B hotkey. You can turn it back on with this key or do it with the View > Show Bounding Box command.

    Another possible reason is having edges hidden, with Cmd/Ctrl + H (View > Show Edges).
