1. New document dialog doesn't provide default values

   When in Illustrator, I typically use ctrl-n, then hit enter to automatically open a new document.

   However, the new document dialog as of Illustrator 2017.1.0 doesn't have default values filled when the dialog opens, and one is forced to pick the type of document one wants to create, from web, mobile, print, etc. instead of just hitting the "enter" key and changing these settings later.

   In other words, you are complicating the flow of creating new documents.

3. User guide correction

   Customer support asked that I make this post via their twitter account. I found that the content in the user guide identifying the various symbols and marks of the swatch panel is not accurately labeled. E and F are wrong. They should say LAB and RGB but they instead are calling the icons CMYK AND RGB. Could be highly confusing those just learning the software. Thanks!!

4. In Windows 10 Full Screen covers Windows 10 Taskbar

   One of the things I abhor (yes abhor) about Mac computers is that the apps at full screen cover EVERYTHING making things hard to use. Adobe Illustrator now behaves that way. A Maximized window should NOT cover the taskbar. If I wanted a Mac I'd buy one. I don't want Windows 10 Apps to behave like they are on a Mac.

5. Text-Markierung falsch positioniert im Alle-Zeilen-Setzer

   My German is better, so I describe the problem in german.

   Wenn der Adobe Alle-Zeilen-Setzer die Zeichen verschiebt, ist die Textmarkierung nicht mehr an der richtigen Stelle (egal ob ich sie zwischen zwei Buchstaben platziere oder einen Abschnitt markiere). Ich kann so vorher nicht mehr wissen, an welcher Stelle die Text-Eingabe erfolgt. Längere Texte zu schreiben wird so zu einer Tortur. Es muss natürlich wieder so funktionieren, dass ich die Markierung wieder an der Stelle sehe, wo auch das Programm sie sieht. Momentan ist der einzig mögliche Workaround, zuerst den Ein-Zeilen-Setzer zu aktivieren, den Text komplett auszuformulieren und am Ende auf den Alle-Zeilen-Setzer umzuschalten.

6. FILE Corruption - Illustrator will not open AI files. Adobe CC/Windows 10.

   just trying to open AI files to work in ILLUSTRATOR. POS won't open. After reboot, won't open. How was the subscription model supposed to be better?

7. Panel type and icons are enormous

   I recently upgraded Illustrator. the panels are gigantic. The type is ridiculously huge . the panels are taking up more than half my screen and I need all of them available. How do I get the panels to display nice and tiny and compact like they did before? Am I supposed to buy another graphics card and get a third monitor just to hold adobe panels? Am I really supposed to buy new glasses just for Illustrator just because Adobe can't be bothered to make things a normal type size?

8. Working file getting corrupted after installation of new graphics card

   Hi, I have installed a graphics card recently on my windows 10 PC and the file which was working fine before enabling GPU features in Adobe Illustrator CC suddenly got corrupted (Error message is attached). I have updated both, Adobe Illustrator CC (ver. 21.1.0) and Graphics card driver and my windows 10 installation is also up to date.

9. Create New Button Does Nothing

   I'm using OS X El Capitan with a multi display setup, comprising of two monitors and a Wacom Cintiq. Sometimes with multiple desktops and multiple monitors popup windows will open in strange places and I have to find them-- however I've gotten rid of my extra desktops and tried to replicate the problem running a single monitor and it persists.

   Neither Premiere nor Photoshop have this issue.

   Illustrator opens up fine, but when I get to the prompt to open a recent project or create a new one, everything works except clicking "Create New" doesn't do anything. Of course I can open another project, save a copy, and edit the parameters to get the setup I want in a new file, but that's tedious and shouldn't be necessary.

   Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help.

   Any ideas?

10. Zoom lagging & Overal Speed Issues

    BUG. Files with any substance (not just plain squares) but normal large files are slow and laggy.

11. Can't save color themes even when signed in

    I'm trying to save a color theme but when I mouse over "Save" it says "You must sign to save color themes" even though I am already signed in according to the Help drop down menu. As a result I can't save any color themes. I'm using the 1 week trial version of Adobe Illustrator called Adobe Illustrator CC Tryout 2017.1.0 Release.

12. USB iPhone tether connection causes bugs in AI CC 2017 Layers panel

    When a USB connection is made to iPhone for internet tethering, Illustrator CC 2017 Layers panel:

    1. Won't allow toggling the lock or eye icons unless clicked several times each.

    2. Won't allow slide up and down the locks or eyes to lock/unlock or show/unshow everything.

    3. Won't allow naming a layer unless done from options.

    4. Won't allow dragging square of an object from one layer to another.

    All resolve upon disconnecting the USB iPhone internet tethering connection.

13. Align function not working properly in Illustrator CC 2017

    I don't know what category this goes into because I'm not a developer. You could at least provide categories for users instead of for developers. Your program is extremely frustrating to use. It's not designed to be very user friendly. I wish Macromedia Freehand were still around, because I would be using it instead of Illustrator. I have an alignment error that happens when I select all and then use the "align to horizontal center" and "align to vertical center". I have complained about this before and no one replied to it. Since I am paying monthly for access to this "supposed high level" program, it would be nice if it actually worked the way it's supposed to. You charge people access fees when you still don't have the program perfected. We should be charging you for helping you fix it instead.

15. Crash when vectorising any image

    Hello, I have an Adobe Cloud account and am using the latest version of illustrator CC. I cannot vectorize images any more. It crashes whatever setting I use.

    I tried to desactivate the GNU processor but to no avail. I tried on several images kind and format, but Illustrator won't accept any. They do open and the vectorization begins but it crashes before finishing. and no explanation is given just that a problem occured and that the application will close.

    This is very problematic as I need to vectorize images. Please help me, Adobe-Kenobi, you are my only hope !

16. Can't

    I get a an error message every time i log into AI. Then on top of it the program is not saving my workspaces. It drives me crazy to have to open Tools, Controls, Swatches, Layers, etc every time I start. Please help me out.

17. Intense Lag Illustrator 24 (Windows11)

    I have intense lag regardless of file size. Whenever I begin to zoom or pan, display takes at least 5 seconds to update. I have uninstalled and reinstalled illustrator. Upon reinstall, the software works perfectly fine. When I close it, then reopen, the lag persists.
    Here are my PC specs:
    Device name VENGEANCE
    Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K 3.00 GHz
    Installed RAM 64.0 GB (63.8 GB usable)
    System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

18. Bug Report: Chinese Character Multiplication and Overlapping in Adobe AI Version 27.3.1

    The latest version of AI, version 27.3.1, has a bug that causes Chinese characters to multiply and overlap when typing without pressing Enter. This issue was not present when reverting to the previous version. Please fix this bug as soon as possible.

19. Worse situation on M1 macs

    macOS Monterey V 12.0.1 (M1 chip)
    Illustrator Desktop V 26.0.1

    Recently I noticed, that performance have some bugs.
    It is often, that screen smudges like in screenshot. and thats everyday issue. I need to zoom in and move around, then it disappears. now even Pink stripes showed up, which doesn't disappear...
    Also, sometimes when I start new document (from template), there is the pink blink (very short, few mili seconds and the same colour like in screenshot)

    Today I saw new update for Ai, so updated, will see if this issue was

20. Layer visibility incorrect after applying 3D Effect Rotate to group

    After applying the 3D Effect 'Rotate' to a group of paths, it is no longer possible to make paths invisible within the group.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1) New
    2) Draw two paths
    3) Select and group the paths
    4) Apply 3D effect 'Rotate' to the group
    5) toggle the visibility of one shape in the 'Layers'-panel

    The shape stays visible even though the visibility is turned of.
    I added a capture of the steps but not all dialogs in the capture are visible.
