SVG export with text – line breaks forcing text to convert to outlines
I've been working on a project that requires SVG files with embedded text and have discovered what seems to be a bug.
It seemed arbitrary at first, that some text objects would be converted to outlines while others would remain as text. I finally figured out that forced line breaks were the culprit, as illustrated in the screenshots I've attached. The problem is the same whether you use point type or area type objects.
I'm currently running the latest version of Illustrator (24.1.2) on macOS High Sierra (10.13.6).
I've also noticed this issue is similar to another one that…

Export Save for Web resize by percentage does not work as it should
File>Export>Save for web> - When you change the size percentage, the new width and height number appear. The preview of the image does not change to reflect the new size. The resulting saved image does not reflect the new size. Only workaround is if you slowly click on width and height numbers, wait for the preview of the image to display the new size, and then click save. This has been a problem with all versions of Illustrator that I can remember. This happens on both Mac and PC, on all of the OS versions that I have…

SVG Exporter with decimal to 1 rounds lower percentage opacities to 0
macOS Catalina 10.15.7, Adobe Illustrator 26.5
In the latest versions of Adobe Illustrator, the SVG exporter when the decimals parameter is 1 low percentage opacities are rounded to 0 in the CSS styles of the SVG file. This problem did not exist in older versions of Adobe Illustrator (2017, 2018)
In a new Adobe Illustrator file make some paths or shapes, set fill color and set opacity to 10%.
Export for Screens / Format SVG.
Format Settings:
Styling: Internal CSS
Font: Convert To Outlines
Images: Link
Objects IDs: Minimal
Decimal: 1

File overwrites without warning when exporting to PNG
When you Export a file as a PNG, check the "Use Artboards" and select a specific artboard, Illustrator overwrites your file without warning. This is not consistent with exporting to SVG.

Pantone or other book colors in a CMYK document look fine in Overprint preview mode but get exported to an RGB images as dull
When we add a Pantone or a different book color into a CMYK document, we can see how it looks 'for real' when we enable Overprint mode — all fair.
Then we would need to share this image with a client, so we export an RGB image... and this image shows out vivid book color as a dull-and converted-to-CMYK-and-then-to-RGB color — which is not what we have in mind.
This is a bug, honestly, I think, but also a request — we need to be able to export images as we see them in Overprint Preview mode... Ai respect overprints…

Vertical Type Tool Not Working Properly
(See Image for reference)
When using the vertical type tool, it used to make a word have the letters stacked over each other. (like in column 'B) Now when you click with the Vertical Type Tool to type anything, it appears as image 'A'. I do not think its supposed to look like a word that has just been rotated 90 degrees? (like in column 'C')3 votes -
Center of rotation changes position after rotating with a dialog
Trying to rotate a path from a custom rotation location by entering the rotation as a value, not manually.
I'd expect that you can rotate from any given position by entering rotational values. As it is, your selected rotation position will instead default to center.
When you select a custom position to rotate a shape from, it only works if you manually rotate the object. You can't select a custom position and then type in a rotational value via enter or double-clicking on the rotate tool.

Convert to Artboards doesn't work if there are Sublayers on the same Layer

Image embed option in SVG options does not work
Environment:
OS: Windows 10 Home
Illustrator Version 23.0.3 (64 bit)Recreating the bug:
1. Create some Illustrator artwork with a linked image (.jpg, .png, etc).
2. Export an SVG through File > Export > Export As...
3. Select the Image > Embed option. The resulting SVG does not contain the image. This was an issue introduced with Illustrator 2019, the 2018 version worked fine. Right now I'm embedding the image into the AI file itself as a workaround and then exporting it using the same method since that embeds the image into the SVG, but it would be nice…

Illustrator does not embed a color profile when exporting artwork to PNG format
When exporting to JPG format there is option to select color profile and an option to embed the chosen color profile in file. There is no such support for PNG files and I find many times I am asked for a transparent PNG file for print work and am unable to embed color profile.

Unit issue with DXF exported from Illustrator
Hello,
Units are not correct when exporting DXF files from Illustrator CC.A 100 mm diameter circle exported from illustrator CC (22.0.1) is opened in Creo Parametric 4.0 (M070) and measures 2540 mm.
My CC options are in millimeters
$INSUNITS in DXF file should be defined to 4 = Millimeters
Actually it is exported with 1 and this is incorrect.Changing $INSUNITS from 1 to 4 in Notepad is not a sustainable solution !
Default drawing units for AutoCAD DesignCenter blocks:

Best regards

No Rotate arrow for shapes
When creating shapes with the shape tool, the rotate arrow no longer shows up. If I click in the area where the rotate arrow would normally be, the shape will rotate and the rotate arrow then appears. Any other object other that shapes work as usual when rotating. I end up scaling objects trying to guess where the rotate arrow would be.

All PNG's exported are blurry
Every time I export a file to PNG, it comes out blurry. It also appears blurry when I turn on the pixel preview. I have never experienced this problem until I recently updated my version of Illustrator. Exporting to PDF does not cause an issue.
I am using Windows 10 Pro version 19042.746, with Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10500T CPU @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz, Installed ram: 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable), 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor.
