  2. ROTATE-OPTIONS not ACTIVE. Pls advise...

    Ventura (macOS 13.7.1): Options TRANSFORM OBJECTS and TRANSFORM PATTERNS are NOT ACTIVE in ROTATE. Any advise?

  3. Items cannot be centered in artboard

    I am selecting an artboard. Then selecting my item. When I try to center them using Horizontal/Vertical Align Center, my item completely ignores my artboard (and any other artboard for that matter) and positions itself randomly.

    Version 25.0

    This feature is essential for us since we need to center dozens of icons for export.

  4. Illustrator 24.3 Crashing When Selecting Colours with the Layers Palette Open

    Illustrator 24.3 crashes when changing the colour of a gradient handle if the Layers palette is open and on-screen. Video above is a freshly re-installed Illustrator in a brand new user account (macOS 10.15.6).

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.0 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  5. Shortcut for "New from template" does not always work on the home screen

    Open a fresh instance of Illustrator 2024 mac, use the CMD+Shift+N shortcut to open the new from template window, close it and try again. Most often the shortcut does not work. This is also the case if the shortcut is used after closing a file and returning to the home screen.

  6. Dialogue Boxes not opening

    I am running Illustrator 26.5 on macOS Montery 12.6 and no dialogue boxes are opening. I have to restart Illustrator in order to save, export, etc. Once I force quit, if a file has been recovered, when I got to save that file, Illustrator crashes, and I am unable to save (as the cycle just continues).

  7. Placed .tiff file making vector image disappear

    In my line of work we have "distresses" that we place over the vector image that we've created. The distresses are .tiff files and with the last update have began making the vector image disappear. When printed everything is fine. However most of the time we also have to export as a .png to send our customers a proof and we have to export several times before getting a .png we can use.

  8. Character scroll bar

    The character scroll bar stopped working. If I click to change the font there is no scroll bar, nor is there a size option. I am on Windows 10 (64 bit Home) using the latest Illustrator (23.0.0 64 bit). I uninstalled and reinstalled and still have this problem I am using two screens, and have found that if i move the character window to the other screen and reset it, I can get the scroll bar back temporarily so this seems to have to do with dual screen setup

  9. Text missing in SVG files

    This is the first time trying to use Illustrator since it updated to the newest version (23.0.1) and updating my Mac to High Sierra (10.14). I have previously used Illustrator to edit SVG files, specifically the text in those files. When I open similar SVG files in the new Illustrator, all of my text is missing. My computer is due for a small update which will go through later tonight but this seems like a bug within Illustrator. When I open the SVG in Photoshop 2019 and re-export it as a SVG, I am able to see the text…

  10. Fit to artboard doesn’t includes stroke bounds

    Fit to artboard does not fit lines to the artboard that are on the edges. So when you export to indesign the lines are missing of halved

  11. Switching application windows causes window to resize off screen

    I'm not sure if this is an Illustrator issue or a window resizer issue (I use Divvy), but I'm using CC 2019 on OS 10.14 and every time I switch between two applications (or another space for that matter), my Illustrator window resizes off the screen. Is anyone else having this issue?

  12. Missing close, minimize, and maximize buttons on Mac

    I use Magnet and whenever I snap the window to the full screen (4K) the maximize, minimize and close buttons all disappear.

    MacOS Big Sur, version 11.3.1

  13. SVG Precision and options are reset on every launch of IL. Add a place in IL preferences allowing users to permanently set SVG precision.

    I've gone over this problem in detail on the forums here:

    Illustrator's precision for saving out SVG files has a default of 1 decimal place. This can cause severe path distortion and rounding errors in the resulting file if you simply save it with CTRL+S.

    This precision setting is reset to 1 after closing and re-opening Illustrator no matter what settings you have applied in the past. To rectify this, you have to:

    1. FIRST select "Save As..."
    2. Choose SVG as your format.
    3. Click save and wait for the SVG options dialog to appear.
    4. Change the precision value from 1…

  14. Rotate around a circle changes colours and appearance

    When rotating around a center point on some angles the colours and shapes change of their own volition.

  15. Window and panels moving when Mac goes to sleep

    There is an issue with Adobe apps while using Mac M1 with an external monitor. When put in sleep, the windows and palettes move to the bottom half of the screen.

    There are comments on this thread that confirm

    this is an issue with specifically Adobe apps(illustrator, photoshop and indesign at least):

  16. Illustrator 25.3 Crop

    Export File creates uncontrolled artboards and more then one - usually only one is selectable the other is not. Did this with jpg, pngs. Save as pdf works fine but export versions do not.

    One artboard frame is correct but the second unselectable version is smaller but taller and localized around one object in the image.

    They both carry over with the file to other programs.
    Files opened in photoshop display properly but png has extra clear space.

  17. Blue Screen of Adobe Illustrator directly after Start

    Windows 10 64bit
    Dell XPS15 i7, 32GB Ram, GeForce GTX 1650 Ti
    Adobe Illustrator v 25.2.1

    With the latest Update to the Illustrator Version above I´m no longer able to start the Program - every time I try to open the Laptop crashes and I receive a Blue Screen immediately. Tried now 3 times in a row, no luck.
    Please advise how to solve the issue.
    Before the Update there were no issues at all.

  18. Dashed strokes in SVG are set to 0 when reopening in Ai, but are displayed correctly in the browser

    1) Windows 11 / Windows 10 with Adobe Illustrator 28.4.1
    2)
    1. Open a new document
    2. Draw a line with line tool
    3. Set line to dashed with 10 5 1 5
    4. Export file as SVG
    5. Close file in Illustrator and reopen it in illustrator.
    3) Expected result: Line still has dashing of 10 5 1 5 in Ai and in the browser
    4) Actual result: Line has dashing of 0 0 0 0 0 0 in Ai, but looks correct in the browser

  19. When exporting to a png or eps, the text in the file are blurry and i cannot use for anything.

  20. The "HDV 1080" preset needs fixing

    The "HDV 1080" preset resolution is 1920x1080. Small point, but the resolution of HDV is 1440x1080, so the naming of it is kinda wrong. I think in Photoshop, AE & Premiere, it's referred to as the "HDTV 1080" preset, so I think it's probably a mistake/typo by someone at Adobe.

    Also, the preset gives you an extra artboard which is 14400 x 14400 px for some reason (I imagine it's also a bug), so when you try to export your file, it always defaults to exporting this artboard unless you delete it. Again, small thing but clearly a mistake…
