  1. Can't open the illustration. The file is locked or in use

    We are getting an error message when we are loading our .aip file on Adobe Illustrator that says: "Can't open the illustration. The file is locked or in use." ID:-54
    Approaches (we followed to resolve this issue) :
    Uninstalled and reinstalled AI several times.
    We have checked the OS dependencies and verified with latest OS as compatible with AI.
    We have created plugins again and tried to load same in illustrator but problem remain same.
    We have rechecked and updates some build configuration but same issue again.

  2. Broken CSS Style Elements in SVG Save and Export

    I have been exploring why our company users are seeing full black artboards or random black fill objects in SVG files produced in the Save As\SVG process, as well as exporting SVG using API developer tools. I know there have already been issues with non-alpha-numeric characters (what I will call “irregular characters”), but the issue we are seeing relates to periods (.) specifically.

    When files are saved/exported using Style Elements to drive the CSS, if those style names contain a period, ie: "BLACK STROKE .25pt", the Save As SVG export process allows the CSS class label to contain a period.…

  3. Illustrator AI - high volume

    I'd like to have a better understanding of this problem - I originally posted in the community discussion but was told I would need to repost here so that's what I'm doing.

    I've been getting this error with one of my projects since this morning and since I can still use it by closing that project and opening another - I don't think the problem is really "High volume"

    • I do have a prompt that's about 3 paragraphs which could be the problem but if that's the case, Adobe really should be limiting the characters, not just saying that there…

  4. Illustrator crash and spikes GPU (3080ti) requesting more VRAM than usual error code 6 with pid=263

    Hello,
    Details of your operating system: Windows 11 Pro Version 10.0.22000
    The version of Adobe Illustrator (desktop) : 26.5
    I work with high-amount data content and AI keeps crashing randomly, on a stable high end station with 12900k, 32GB of RAM and a 3080ti. 

    To reproduce the issue:

    I work with these rather heavier files up to a point
    the whole PC stalls and freezes, (inclusively desktop and any app), mouse can't be moved, no input can be taken.
    After a few seconds or 1+ minute, i hear the sound stuttering (if i was playing music during the crash)

  5. Crash when clicking on options in … (More Options) popup in the Properties panel

    This one exist for at least a year: when object is selected and Properties panel docked to the right, click on the … (More Options) button in the Transform section. Then it either crashes immediately or when some option is modified (like "Scale Strokes and Effects").

    I remember I reported that while ago, but got no reply and obviously no attention from support team.

  6. 文字パネルで合成フォントを選択すると、テキストの操作ができなくなる

    文字パネルで合成フォントを選択する操作を行うと、
    ・テキスト自体が表示されなくなる
    ・表示されていても他のフォントに変更できなくなる
    ・文字化けのような状態になることもある
    ・このバグが発生しているテキストオブジェクトをコピーすると「オブジェクトをコピーできません。メモリが足りません。ID：-108」というエラーが発生する
    ・まれにバグが発生しないこともあり、再現性や規則性は不明
    などの不具合が発生します。

    いずれにせよ、この不具合が起きるとテキストツールでの操作やドキュメントの保存が一切できなくなってしまいます。
    合成フォントではない通常のフォントを使用していても、まれに「同じ名前の合成フォント「○○」が既に存在します。」というエラーが発生し、その後Illustratorはフリーズします。

    Illustrator 28.5, 28.4.1, 27.9.4でこのバグを確認しています。
    OSバージョンはWindows 11 Pro 10.0.22631 ビルド 22631です。

    ・環境設定の削除やアプリケーションの再インストール
    ・グラフィックドライバの更新
    ・PCの再起動
    ・SFCやDISMなどのOS修復
    ・FNTCACHE.DATの削除
    などの操作も行いましたが解決しませんでした。

    不具合の様子をキャプチャしたものを添付しております。
    解決策をご存じの方はいらっしゃいますでしょうか。よろしくお願いいたします。

  7. Failure to Launch on OS X 10.12 (Sierra)

    Fresh install (never had Illustrator nor Photoshop on this Mac), on OSX 10.12.6. Downloaded and installed okay, both Illustrator and Photoshop, but neither of them successfully launch. Both abort out before the splash screen appears with an uncaught exception.

  8. Illustrator quits unexpectedly when my script run for long

    When I open Illustrator in my MacOS Sierra 10.12.5 and run my script, after 10-20 min Illustrator quits unexpectedly and this log shows up.

  9. Some process, probably library syncing, overwrote graphic updates

    Almost lost half a day's work. Though I lost a bunch of time and productivity figuring out how to get it back.

    A library graphic got overwritten by an older version of that library graphic by something other than a human being.

    I was working in Illustrator 26.0.1 and Photoshop 22.5.2 at the same time on a Windows 10 machine. I had the graphic as a Smart Object in Photoshop. But since it's a graphic it was being edited in Illustrator.

  10. SVG Exporter with decimal to 1 rounds lower percentage opacities to 0

    macOS Catalina 10.15.7, Adobe Illustrator 26.5

    In the latest versions of Adobe Illustrator, the SVG exporter when the decimals parameter is 1 low percentage opacities are rounded to 0 in the CSS styles of the SVG file. This problem did not exist in older versions of Adobe Illustrator (2017, 2018)

    1. In a new Adobe Illustrator file make some paths or shapes, set fill color and set opacity to 10%.

    2. Export for Screens / Format SVG.

    3. Format Settings:
      Styling: Internal CSS
      Font: Convert To Outlines
      Images: Link
      Objects IDs: Minimal
      Decimal: 1
      Minify: false
      Responsive: false

    4. Export Artboard
