Justification doesn't work right
In a block of justified text, when you fine tune the justification settings to spread the letters more evenly and avoid white gaps, the justification gets broken.
(In Indesign the same procedure works perfectly.)On my screenshot you see the default setting on the left, and on the right with the letter and glyph spacing set to slightly decreased minimum and slightly increased maximum values – and the justification is gone…

SVG Stroke Widths are not scaled according to viewBox
MacOS Mojave 10.14.6
Illustrator CC 2019- rename the attached .txt file to .svg and import the SVG file into Illustrator.
expected: it should display two horizontal lines
actual: it appears as a rectangle because the lines are touchinghere are two lines, 200px apart, with 100px stroke width in a 500x500 SVG with a viewbox of 1000x1000. since the viewbox is twice the size of the SVG document, the stroke width should be scaled down to 50px and the lines should not overlap.

Préférences supprimées, ça recommence de la même manière :
à l'ouverture de l'appli puis à l'ouverture/création d'un nouveau document, la roue puis tous les menus deviennent grisés. On peut changer d'outil mais pas les utiliser.
Les panneaux de fonction sont actifs mais rien n'est possible.
L'appli n'est pas signalée bloquée par le système.Je n'ai pas accès aux bibliothèques, je pense qu'elles sont en cause.
Ce soft est de pire en pire.

Freeform gradient fill disappears on select all action
- OS: Windows Version: 10.0 System Architecture: x64 Illustrator v 23.0.6 (64-bit)
- I used a freeform gradient fill to fill a path and upon doing a select all to group a few different paths and shapes for easier movement or duplication, the fill of the path disappears and I need to either rebuilt the gradient or re-load the file as even doing CTRL+Z doesn't bring back the gradient
- The expected result is that the gradient remains as it was when doing a select all (Either through CTRL+A or using the Selection Tool)
- The Fill for the path disappears and the freeform…

Multiple DXF conversions overwrite other artboards
On my iMac with OSX Mojave.
If I import 2 dxf files for conversion and leave their tabs available, the next to be imported overwrites the second tab placing the image on top of what is already there and then proceeds to open the 3rd tab with a blank Artboard.
In the attached screenshot, the overplayed image is with red lines, the original image on that tab is in black lines

My brush does not display stroke
Im drawing in illustrator and when I got to the brush tool and draw it sometimes shows a dot or it doesn't show anything at all. When I release after drawing it shows the stroke but the finished product. You can see how annoying this is when sketching an idea. It just draws but doesn't show the brush outline before you release to make the line.

The operation cannot be complete beacuse of an unknown error. [STEX]
Trying to use Freeform Gradient on a more complex shape(image attached) and I get this error "The operation cannot be complete because of an unknown error. [STEX]"
I tried making a new doc and still same issue. Some of the elements are coloured, but not all.
System: MacOS Mojave Version 10.14.6
Illustrator Version 23.0.6

Illustrator 22.0.1 Crash on Startup when Signed In on Windows with a Microsoft account
Adobe Illustrator version 22.0.1 (x32-bit) crashes on startup on any user profile logged in with a Microsoft account.
It works fine on the PC across local user accounts, but as soon as the local account is converted to a profile linked to a Microsoft account, that's it. No more Illustrator.

Weird Font punctuation behavior?
Version: 23.0.6
OS: 10.14.6I'm experiencing weird font behavior with the Merriweather typeface in Illustrator. It only happens for this typeface and only in Illustrator.
When I try to type ' ," ' (comma + end quote), the spacing inexplicably condenses. When I switch fonts, the spacing goes back to normal. I don't have any special character or glyph settings to my knowledge.
I tried the same type combo in other tools (Photoshop, XD, Sketch), and it works fine and looks normal. This only happens in Illustrator. Any ideas?

Illustrator CC Crashes In Tablet Mode
Illustrator regularly crashes every couple of hours when my Spectre x360 is in tablet mode, also when using the HP Pen. Is anyone else getting this?
Running Illustrator in power saving mode was suggested as a workaround, but it's still crashing.

colored paper no transparent PNG
If I simulate colored paper for my canvas background I cannot export transparent PNGs anymore. This worked before just fine and I always used this technique to be able to work with white surfaces on a "invisible" colored background. When I link the Ai into Photoshop it ignores the background as it certainly should.
The weirdest part about it is, that the PNG always has white background (custom background is off) in the export window despite my colored paper being white at all! As soon as I deactivate colored paper simulation, the PNG can be exported transparent again.

Fonts missing and say I need to re log in
When I open a past project from creative cloud folder It directs me to find a missing font. But the font finder doesn't sync to my library. Now Im stuck with a missing font on a logo project that just messed my whole design up. Plus when I export the project as a export safe for web... png 24 the file export look pixellated and not a vector file.

Illustrator 23.0.6 MacOS High Sierra slowdown, possible memory leak.
I have noticed over the last several versions that if I leave Illustrator running for more than a few days without quitting (with and without any files open), that my system gets less and less responsive, sometimes to the point where it seems completely locked up other than cursor movement. A quick mouse over the Illustrator Icon in the dock shows that the Application is Not Responding. I have also noticed the same thing happens in Photoshop. I'm not sure if there is a memory leak in these apps or in the Creative Cloud Core environment somewhere. I took a…

Embedding illustrator files creates bigger artwork than original
I use a lot old (or not that old) artwork into some new client jobs (eg: a logo or a background for a new project for consistency purposes) and sometimes embedding prior illustrator files in illustrator creates bigger artwork than original. (when I mean bigger is size i'm talking about. eg.: a square in original file was 10x10mm and when embedded gets 13x13mm)
It happens only when embedding and the only workaround is using flatten transparency.
I still don't know what exactly triggers this issue as it happens with seemingly random files.

Artwork in Clipping mask doesn't resize
Illustrator 2019 on PC Windows 10
When I resize artwork sometimes anything that's inside a clipping mask doesn't resize. The shape I created for the mask resizes, but the artwork 'inside' stays static.
If I undo and retry a few times it will eventually work. I'm using the 'black' arrow to select the object and resize with the handles. I'm not using either of the white arrows. So I don't think it's a selection issue on my end.

Unable to skew individual words/letters in type
In previous versions of illustrator, you were able to skew individual words/letters from the character menu. That option has been replaced by an option to rotate.
Distorting highlighted text distorts the whole box of type. The font I'm working with does not have and italics and I need this option to italicize specific words.
I am using 23.0.6 on a mac with OS Mojave 10.14.6.

Very glitchy Free Transform tool
This sure can't be right - I can't always get this to occur, but when it does happen, it's super annoying. When scaling using the Free Transform tool, there's this choppiness that doesn't allow me to control the scaling. Right now, my best work around is to enter dimension values in the Control Palette rather than use this tool at all. In the video the choppiness during the text object's decrease in size is where I'm undoing the scaling. I don't know if that helps, but maybe it will help to know that the choppy scaling is done in steps…

Type size shortcut doesn't work
Cmd + shift + > for enlarging the type doesn't work both on my Illustrator & Photoshop.
For reducing the size, it works well. (cmd+shift+<) I did reset both of them, and it fix the problem just a while before it's coming back.
