Bounding Box resetting automatically — ruins workflow
Normally in Illustrator, the bounding box is locked to the orientation of an object until you manually reset the bounding box. I am experiencing a bug in Adobe CC 23.0.3 where the bounding box of an object, or group of objects in this case, resets immediately after a rotation. This prevents me from executing the standard task of rotating an object, then scaling it horizontally using the bounding box to create the correct perspective (see video).
The reason I'm confident in reporting this as a bug is because I have never experienced this before and have been using Illustrator since…

File cannot be saved as png
Windows 10 Pro version 1909. Illustrator v 25.2.1.
I am trying to export a file as a .png. It is very large (15000 px x 9000 px at 300 dpi), and it comes up with this error every time: The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. [!now].
I have also tried exporting the image as a much smaller file with the same error. The file I'm trying to export is a floral pattern I've created using the pattern tool.

Raster images should always honor the layer order and transparency values when scaling/moving/rotating
When moving/rotating/scaling Raster images should always honor the layer order and transparency values.
With "show images in outline mode" selected, I often drop in low res raster images on the bottom layer and outline them with the pen tool in higher level layers.. problem is the way illustrator handles raster images. If i draw a line on top of a raster image, then attempt to scale that raster image, my line is temporarily hidden while scaling, moving or rotating the raster image, making it nearly impossible to re-align my raster image to match newly drawn vector lines. Also, raster images…

Dragging Live Corners Rotates Object Instead of Rounding the Corner
OS: Windows 10 Pro 1909
Version: Illustrator 24.3Expected result:
Hovering over a live corner and dragging it should let me round the corner.Actual result:
Dragging a live corner more often than not rotates the object instead. Only by making sure my cursor is hovering as far away as it can be from the corner, but still showing the curve icon and dragging can I consistently get the right behaviour. Otherwise it rotates the object instead. This has been something I've experienced since at least March, and there's an Adobe Support Community post about this same issue from April…

Some Colors are Yellow and Transparent When Exported
Some of my colors (mostly the bluish white and other lighter colors) become yellowish and transparent when exported as an image (I exported it as .tif) or through the Library tab as assets.
Even through Illustrator/InDesign, the print preview shows the wrong color and it prints the wrong color. On InDesign, it looks okay until you put it on Overprint Preview.
The only work around we figured right now is exporting it as a PDF and printing through Adobe Acrobat.
Attached are the exported image and a screenshot of the actual colors.

Wake from Sleep resizes Ai windows and moves panels
M1 MacBook Pro, Mac OS 11.5.2. - AI 25.4.1.
Every time I wake my MBP from sleep, AI window is resized to half screen (horizontal) and all Palettes are whacked! all bunched in corner of screen, have to reset window size and reset palettes, every single time. Only AI does this, no other App.27 votesIf you have this issue again — please drop a comment (all but Phillip Byrne, who already made one). Does it still happens to you? Does waking your Mac from sleep makes your windows and panels move and resize?

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

The font with a name which has ampersand symbol cause wrong with exported SVG file
If there is an ampersand in the name of the inserted font, the exported svg file is not able to open due to not escaped symbol&. In fact it should be escaped into &, otherwise error named EntityRef will appear. After editing the SVG file manually, everything goes well.
For example, a font with the family name "FontA&B" is inserted in a file. When I export, the svg file show "font-family: FontA&B" instead of "font-family: FontA&B" or "font-family: "FontA&B" ". So the bug might be tricky. Hope it can be fixed. This does affect my work.
Thanks.Ai…

Discover panel’s videos don’t have Full Screen button
OK, I am a new user and want to use Discover to make some learning.
Illustrator shows me the video of steps I need to perform.
How on Earth am I going to view these that small, if I am not familiar with the UI? What good do they make being shrunk like this? Also, when you try to see maybe the cog button has something useful, the video covers the menu. Just great.
And even if you find the 'Read article in a browser' link, it’s somewhere deep below, and you have to scroll all the way down.

Text alignment of text on path changes in SVG on export, but not in other file types
Adobe Illustrator 25.0.1 on macOS Big Sur 11.1, MacBook Pro 2016
I've exported the same graph multiple times - as jpeg, png and svg. In the svg version, some text looses it's alignment - can't send that to my client!

AI 26 667 Mac: SVG export with placed images badly broken (Illustrator 26.0 GM Candidate Build 2)
Test files at https://files.svija.love/ai26-667-svg-export.zip
Exporting an Illustrator file with placed images results in an SVG with the images at the wrong Z-index, as well as several copies of the same image.
Steps to reproduce (see test files):
- open test.ai
- save as SVG (see parameters capture)
- open SVG in Safari — red box is behind PNG image when it should be in front
- open SVG in TextEdit — there are three copies of PNG image when there should be one

Moving objects - error message "can't move the object"
I'm working with vectors and type. Since the update to CC2018, at random moments and in multiple files, I'll select a vector object and select some text, then try to move them, and I'll receive the error message "Can't move the objects. The requested transformation would make some objects too large". The problem is going to force me to revert back to the 2017 version of Illustrator - please make sure this is fixed ASAP. See attached screen grab.
44 votesWe have tried to fix the issue in the current release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 22.1.
Please refer to our knowledge base FAQ – https://illustrator.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1844590 if you face difficulty in the update.

[Illustrator 2025, 29.0][Win11 Pro 23H2] No Recent Local Files in the Welcome Screen
Recent local files and their previews are completely gone from the welcome screen in Illustrator 2025, 29.0.
Changing the number of visible recent files, restarting the computer, disabling/enabling GPU acceleration and even doing a clean install of Illustrator didn't help.
9 votesAs stated in an update at forums, there is a solution.
A backend fix has been applied. Please restart Illustrator to see if the issue is resolved.
If it persists, follow these steps:
1. Close all Adobe apps, including the Creative Cloud desktop app.
2. Navigate to the following folder location:
Mac: ~/Library/Caches/Adobe/CCX Welcome folder
Windows: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CCX Welcome\
3. Locate the folder named CCX Welcome and rename it to CCX Welcome.old.
4. Relaunch the Creative Cloud desktop app, then reopen Illustrator.
Leave a comment if this resolves the issue or not.

Locked background objects unlocking/moving when using lasso selection tool
When I select using the LASSO tool, on screen shows the correct points have been selected, but when I then try to move just these selected points, Illustrator also moves the LOCKED background objects underneath. This error does not happen when I select using other tools. This is clearly a bug!

Illustrator File opens to Work/Learn Screen
I have Illustrator CC and after the most recent update, almost every time I open a file in Illustrator after turning on my computer, it opens the file but the Work/Learn screen is still up.
I can see my file's layers in the layers panel in the bottom right corner but the screen doesn't show it. I can click around and it's saying I'm selecting things but I can't get the Work/Learn screen off so I have to restart Illustrator over and over again until I can get it to work.
